What are the practical strategies and good suggestions for going to Huangshan?
Huangshan Mountain is located in Huangshan City in southern Anhui Province, with a mountain range of about 4 kilometers from north to south and 3 kilometers from east to west, with a total area of about 1,2 square kilometers. Among them, Huangshan Scenic Area covers an area of 16.6 square kilometers and consists of 72 peaks. The main peak, Lotus Peak, is 1864.8 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in Huangshan.
Huangshan * * has four gates in the east, west, south and north. It can provide the nearest mountaineering pass for tourists from south to north in different directions. The East Gate should not be opened yet. The West Gate and the North Gate need to go back, and the supporting facilities are not as mature as the South Gate. The key is that I have not walked through these gates, so I will not introduce them here.
The south gate of Huangshan Mountain is located in Tangkou Town, which is the most mature and convenient, and it is also the main gate of Huangshan Mountain. More than 95% of visitors to Huangshan Mountain go down the mountain through the south gate. Tangkou Town, where the south gate of Huangshan Mountain is located, has convenient transportation and perfect tourism facilities. In general, Huangshan tourism mostly starts from the south gate.
2. Accommodation
On the first night of traveling to Huangshan, it is recommended to stay in Tangkou Town near the south gate of Huangshan. The tourist facilities here are quite complete, it is very convenient to eat and live, and the price is not expensive. The key is that it is very close to the south gate of Huangshan Mountain, which is very convenient to climb the mountain early the next morning.
3. Climbing route:
Entering the mountain from the south gate of Huangshan Mountain, it is divided into two climbing points: Qianshan Mountain and Houshan Mountain. After buying mountain tickets at the ticket office, you also need to buy transportation tickets to the mountain. They are sold separately.
The starting point of Qianshan Mountain climbing is Ciguang Pavilion, which is a short drive. The mountain climbing place in Houshan is called Yungu Temple, which is a long drive away. Cables are available at both stations. As for how to choose, I don't think this need to be entangled. It's the best choice. Generally, it's the front mountain, the back mountain, or the back mountain. In short, you can take a loop without going back. If you take the ropeway all the way, it doesn't matter how you choose the two.
If you want to hike up the mountain, and time is limited, it's better to choose Qianshan Mountain, because it's still close, and you can see the welcoming pine as soon as you get up.
The Yuping cableway where Qianshan is located has a total length of 2,176 meters and a height difference of 752 meters. The upper station of Yuping cableway is 165 meters above sea level, which is very close to Yingkesong, which is 167 meters above sea level.
The climbing place of Houshan Mountain is called Yungu Temple, and the starting point of climbing is about 8 meters above sea level. That is to say, if you climb from the starting point, you need to climb 9 meters high. The journey from Yungu Temple to Baieling at the top of the mountain is about 7.5 kilometers. The key point is to raise the elevation by nearly 9 meters. As for the time, it varies from person to person. Generally, ordinary people walk flat roads for more than 3 kilometers per hour. The cableway of Yungu Temple is 2,666 meters long, with a height difference of 775 meters. It takes only 8 minutes to go up by cableway.
Huangshan Mountain is very big. In fact, it is not a mountain, but is made up of many (72) peaks. If you want to visit Huangshan as much as possible in one day, it is suggested that you queue up to buy tickets to climb the mountain in Huangshan early in the morning. It is best to catch up with the first mountaineering team and take the cableway up the mountain before a large number of climbers. In this way, you can avoid the congestion and waiting time and leave yourself as much free time as possible. Otherwise, it will take a long time to get to the peak season, which will greatly reduce your travel experience.
Tickets for Huangshan Mountain are valid for three days. To visit Huangshan Mountain, it is recommended to spend at least two days. If conditions permit, it is recommended to stay on the mountain for one night (it is best to make an appointment about half a month in advance if you stay on the mountain), otherwise there will definitely be many places you can't visit in one day. If you can stay on the mountain for one night, it will be more convenient and more comfortable.
