Distribution characteristics of cave dwellings in Shaping Village

The distribution is uneven, along rivers and roads, and less in mountainous areas.

Because the Shapingba area has flat terrain, sufficient water resources, and convenient transportation along the highway, cave dwellings are distributed along rivers and highways.

Shaping Village, formerly known as Shuangping Village, belongs to Kangjiagang Township, Jiaxian County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. It is located at the southernmost end of Jiaxian County, adjacent to the hinterland of Jiaxian County to the north, the Yellow River to the east, Wubao to the south, and Suide to the west, where the two rivers merge. It is one of the few places in Yulin, Shaanxi that integrates the essence of northern Shaanxi architecture, Yangko, folk songs and other typical cultures, leisure natural scenery, red culture, and geological landscapes.
