Depart from Yiwu: Shanghai, Suzhou, Zhouzhuang (or Wuzhen) in four or five days. How to arrange the route?

In terms of distance, Yiwu is the farthest from Suzhou, so there are two most reasonable routes for you:

1 Yiwu-Shanghai-Suzhou--Zhouzhuang (or Wuzhen) - Return to Yiwu

2 Yiwu-Wuzhen-Suzhou-Shanghai-Yiwu

The above routes are not repeated.

For line 1:

D1: The train from Yiwu to Shanghai is very convenient. It takes two or three hours. It is recommended to take the train in the morning and arrive in Shanghai at noon. Shanghai is a bustling metropolis. It would be too time-consuming to explore carefully, so I just choose some classic routes, such as Nanjing Road, Huangpu River, Century Park, etc. The train stations are directly connected by subway. Just ask people and you will know. It is not recommended to go to scenic spots that are too far away because they take time. One day in Shanghai is enough. If you have sufficient funds, you can stay overnight in Shanghai. It is also good to go to the Huangpu River in the evening to see the Oriental Pearl Tower and the night view. However, hotels in Shanghai are really expensive. It is recommended to go directly to Suzhou in the evening after spending a day in Shanghai.

The train from Shanghai to Suzhou is very convenient. It is recommended to buy a ticket to Suzhou in the evening as soon as you arrive in Shanghai, preferably before 7 o'clock. Half an hour is enough from Shanghai to Suzhou. After the train arrives, you can first find a place to stay. If you have enough money, you can find a similar hotel, such as Home Inn, Motel, Jinjiang, or Hanting. A discount of 150 is enough for a good stay. It’s time to get a good rest on the first night. If you think it’s expensive, look for a smaller hotel, which costs around 100. The cheaper option is a youth hostel, but you have to book a room in advance, which costs around 50 per bed. There are too many buses from Suzhou Railway Station to Guanqian Street in the city center. You can just get on any bus. Chain hotels in the city center are very convenient.

After finding a good place, if the time is not yet 8 o'clock, then it is recommended that you go to see the night view of Suzhou. Jinji Lake in the park is a must-go. Route 68 is very convenient. You can take the bus around the lake to see the night view of Suzhou. It is very beautiful and worth it. Or go to a bar on Shiquan Street and drink, it’s up to you.

D2: Spending a whole day visiting Suzhou is not enough because there are so many attractions in Suzhou. Gardening is the representative one. You can play two classics in one day. Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove, Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill, just pick two. Personally, I suggest that if it’s more affordable, Lion Grove Garden and Lingering Garden are the best. It's not far away, and it's not expensive to get there by bus or taxi. Then I spent most of the day. In the afternoon, I went to Pingjiang Road to experience the well-preserved ancient charm of the water town. Even sitting quietly is very atmospheric. You can also go to Shantang Street, which has a unique flavor during the day and at night. Of course, more importantly Yes, both places are free. In the evening, if you didn’t have time to go to Jinji Lake last night, let’s make up for it tonight.

D3: Personally, I recommend staying in Suzhou for two days. We were still in Suzhou on the third day. If we haven’t finished playing in the gardens, we can still go to one or two more. Canglang Pavilion, West Garden and Hanshan Temple are all pretty good. Personally, I suggest you check out something else - do you like mountain climbing? Tianping Mountain is a good choice. Very challenging stone steps, test yourself. Tianping Mountain is on the outskirts of the New District. If you want to get to the city center, you must first take Route 2 or Route 68 to Mudu, the New District, and then transfer there (Mudu is also an ancient town where Emperor Qianlong visited during his six expeditions to the south of the Yangtze River... Are you interested in checking it out?) It's about an hour from the city center, so it's not very far. Tickets are 18 yuan, which is a good deal.

A little further away there are Dongshan or Xishan, Taihu Lake, etc. If you are interested, you can spend a day there. They are all good places. This day will definitely be a fulfilling one.

D4: After a night’s rest, I feel full of energy, so let’s go to the last stop - the ancient town. Zhouzhuang and Wuzhen are both famous for their own characteristics. From my personal experience, Zhouzhuang is more gorgeous and Wuzhen is more simple. It depends on your personal preferences. It is said that these two places have been developed for a long time, and the commercialization is very serious, which may make you a little disappointed, but the classics are still very classic. Take the bus from Suzhou to Zhouzhuang at the South Bus Station. You can buy discount tickets directly, which is very convenient. If you want to go to Wuzhen, you must first go from Suzhou South Railway Station to Jiaxing, and then take a bus from Jiaxing to Wuzhen. After playing in the afternoon, after buying souvenirs, you can almost return home with a full load of fun (of course you can also choose to stay one night in the ancient town and go back the next day).

If you choose route 2, it is the reverse route. Yiwu first takes a train to Jiaxing and then to Wuzhen. The rest is in reverse order, all the way to Shanghai and finally back to Yiwu.

Hmm. Having written so much, it should be very detailed. It is basically based on personal experience and is very practical. If you have any questions, please ask. I wish you a great time!
