The "mirage" captured by CCTV's Langya Mountain scenery crew in July 1992 is also known as a spectacle. The deep and beautiful Langya Mountain has always enjoyed the reputation of "the unrivaled mountain after Penglai".
The Ancient Plum Pavilion
The ancient plum trees stand between the Yingxiang Pavilion and the Ancient Plum Pavilion. It is said that they were planted by Ouyang Xiu himself. "Langya Mountain Chronicles" records: One of Ougong's plants has withered, and later generations replanted it. Regardless of whether Ouyang Xiu's hand-planting is true or false, it is true that the plum tree is hundreds of years old. The ancient plum is 7 meters high and starts to divide into four branches six or seventy centimeters above the ground. The four branches are more than 70 centimeters thick, and their faces are pale and scarred. Although it has been exposed to wind, frost, rain and snow for hundreds of years, its branches and leaves are still luxuriant and not old. This ancient plum is a rare variety. It does not compete with the winter plum blossoms during the flowering period, nor does it compete with the spring plum blossoms. It blooms alone with the apricot flowers, so it is called "apricot plum". There is an ancient plum pavilion in the north of Gumei. It was built by Zhang Mingdao, a judge of Chuzhou during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, specifically for plum appreciation. It was originally named "Mei Ruitang". Surrounding the ancient plum blossoms, there are also Lanyu Terrace, Yingxiang Pavilion and Yi Pavilion, which are all good places to appreciate plum blossoms. Due to different angles, the plum blossoms that come into view are also different.
The Drunkard Pavilion
The Drunkard Pavilion is located at the foothills of Langya Mountain and is one of the famous monuments in Anhui Province. It is a masterpiece written by the great essayist Ouyang Xiu of the Song Dynasty - "The Drunkard Pavilion" , this pavilion is remembered.
In the first year of Qingli (AD 1045), Ouyang Xiu came to Chuzhou and met Monk Zhixian, the abbot of Langya Temple, and soon became close friends. In order to facilitate Ouyang Xiu's play, Zhixian built a small pavilion at the foot of the mountain. Ouyang Xiu personally wrote it as a record, which is the famous "The Drunkard's Pavilion". From then on, Ouyang Xiu often went to the pavilion to have fun and drink with his friends. "The prefect came here to drink with his guests. He often got drunk after drinking a lot, and he was the oldest, so he called himself the Drunkard. Hence the name "Drunkard Pavilion". Ouyang Xiu not only I drink here and often work here. There is a poem praising it: "If you are in a good mood and have a good life, you will always do business in the pavilion."
"Drunken Man" "Ting Ji" writes: "Six or seven miles up the mountain, gradually the sound of water gurgling, and the water flowing out between the two peaks is called a spring. "Let the spring be in front of the Drunkard Pavilion. A square pool is built with stones next to the spring. The water flows into the pool and then into the mountain stream. The pool is three feet square and about two feet deep. On the pool is a statue of Ci Kui, the governor of the state in the 40th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. The temperature of the spring water does not change much throughout the year and remains at 17 or 18 degrees Celsius, so it is also called "Glass Spring".
Xixin Pavilion
Xixin means repentance and renewal. Although the Langya Temple in ancient times has beautiful scenery, it is not exclusively for sightseeing. It is mainly a place where monks gather to chant sutras and people burn incense and worship Buddha. The Heart-Cleaning Pavilion is built at the foot of the mountain before entering the mountain temple. Believers, men and women, must burn incense and pray here, and express repentance for past sins. After washing their hearts, "sincerity will lead to spirituality", and then go up the mountain to worship Buddha. It works. If you fail to do so, it is not because the Bodhisattva is not working, but because your heart is not sincere. After visiting Langya Mountain from Chucheng, most of them are out of breath and sweating when they walk into Xixin Pavilion. Resting in the pavilion for a while and then going up the mountain will double your energy. For example, if you first visit the Zuiweng Pavilion and then visit the Langya Temple, you will be intoxicated by the beautiful scenery of the garden in the Zuiweng Pavilion and still not wake up even after passing through the Xingxin Pavilion. For a moment, calm down and recuperate, then slowly go up the mountain to enjoy the new scenery and feel refreshed.
Langya Ancient Road
Shenxiu Lake
< p> Located at the turning point from the north gate to Langya Mountain Temple, it was a water pool in ancient times. In 1958, the Chu County People's Government expanded the water pool into a small reservoir. In 1983, Langya Mountain managed it. According to local conditions, this place was developed into a new scenic spot. Because it is surrounded by mountains on three sides and has beautiful scenery, it was named Shenxiu Lake after the sentence "It's beautiful and beautiful" in Ouyang Xiu's "Drunkard Pavilion".The lake originates from Langya Creek and flows down to Yujiawa Reservoir. It is gurgling all year round and is clear to the bottom. There is a bridge in the middle of the lake with nine curves, commonly known as Jiuqu Bridge. The bridge piers are made of bluestone and the bridge deck is made of cement prefabricated parts. It has obvious modern architectural features. There is a lake-centre pavilion on the bridge, with golden glass tiles on the top and glazed bird fences on the hexagons. It also has the characteristics of ancient architecture. There are three six-beam waterside pavilions on the side of the lake, which are tourist service places. Underneath the water pavilion is an artificial bluestone foundation, with the lake running through it. In spring and summer, visitors enjoy the water, which is cool and refreshing, making it a wonderful place.
Langya Temple
After viewing the mountains and waters of the deep and beautiful lake, continue walking to the mountainside. Among the lush and beautiful ancient trees, you can see a series of buildings and palaces, "corridor waist" Dancing gracefully, pecking at the eaves and teeth, everyone hugs the terrain and intrigues. "This is the ancient Langya Temple. The moon cave-shaped mountain gate has the four words "Langya Shengjing" written on it.
Langya Temple, formerly known as Baoying Temple, was founded by Li Youqing, the governor of Huainan Road, and monk Fachen during the Dali period of the Tang Dynasty. It is said that before building the temple, Li Youqing and monk Fachen drew a drawing and submitted it to Emperor Daizong of the Tang Dynasty. It happened that Emperor Daizong dreamed of a temple deep in a mountain forest the night before. Its shape and scale were quite similar to those on the picture. Emperor Daizong was very happy and gave him the name "Baoying". Later, it was renamed "Kaihua Zen Temple" and "Kaihua Lv Temple". Because it is located in Langya Mountain, people collectively called it Langya Temple.
