Travel notes of Luo xian in Korea

Luo Xian's Travels to Korea (1)

? There is no such thing as free travel to North Korea. Ordinary tourists from China can only find a travel agency recognized by the North Korean government to join a group tour, which is the only tourist channel. At present, there are generally only two routes to travel to North Korea by land: one is the trip from Dandong, Liaoning Province across the Yalu River to Sinuiju, Pyongyang, Kaesong and Miaoxiangshan in North Korea; The other is Luo Xianyou who left the country from Hunchun, Jilin and crossed Tumen River to North Korea. "Luoxian" is located in the northeast of Korea, bordering the territories of China and Russia. North Korea announced the establishment of the Luojin Pioneer Free Trade Zone in 1991, and later upgraded Luoxian to a special city. The whole Luoxian Special Zone includes four towns, namely, Luojin, Xianfeng, Xiongshang and Doumanjiang, with a population of about 2,. There are also three perennial frozen seaports, namely, Luojin, Xianfeng and Xiongshang, which face the Sea of Japan. The "Luoxian" where the tourists go refers to the collective name of two towns and places: Luojin City and Xianfeng County. Luoxian city is located in the frontier and coastal area, with convenient transportation, and the port ship transportation can reach all ports in the world. The railways and highways in the port area are connected with domestic and foreign cities in North Korea. Its wide-gauge railway can be connected to the Russian Far East, and the quasi-gauge railway can reach Tumen City in China, while the highway is only 48km away from the Quanhe Port in Hunchun, Jilin, China. After visiting Changbai Mountain, some students from Class 3, Class 73, Nanjing No.29 Middle School hurried to Hunchun, a border city, because there were still ten people to take part in the two-day tour of North Korea Luoxian leaving Hunchun the next morning. Hunchun is the easternmost city in China, which belongs to Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture of Jilin Province. On the lower reaches of Tumen River, Hunchun is the only border window city in China, bordering Russia and North Korea, and facing South Korea and Japan across the sea.

? Originally, all the students who participated in the northeast trip had already completed their passports in advance. Due to the sudden deterioration of the relationship between North Korea and the United States before the trip, North Korea exploded a hydrogen bomb more than 1 kilometers northeast of China, and there was a report on the Internet that the radioactive material in Changbai Mountain was ten times higher than usual. North Korea also launched medium-range missiles into the Sea of Japan continuously, and the United States was also sending two aircraft carrier fleets to demonstrate off the coast of North Korea. The atmosphere on the Korean Peninsula was tense and it seemed that war was on the verge. This makes people hesitate, but what worries them most is that once they travel to North Korea, their passports are bound to leave their signatures for entering and leaving North Korea, which may cause trouble for visas to travel to the United States in the future. Besides, the current situation in North Korea should be the past before China's reform and opening up. All of us born in the 195s have experienced it personally, so we had the idea of giving up traveling to North Korea. It was not until the travel agency told us that we could apply for another temporary entry and exit pass to avoid leaving the imprint of North Korea on the passport that the itinerary was determined.
