[Edit this paragraph] Introduction

As we all know, Canada is a close neighbor of the United States, and it is also a country rich in excellent singers and bands, not to mention Bryan Adams, K.D. Lang and Celine Dion, who were once famous old singers. In the past two years alone, Avril Ramona Lavigne, a very popular girl, and Sum4 1, a powerful punk group, are the representatives. Simple Plan, which has recently become popular and famous in the international music world, is another powerful pop punk group from Canada.

Although Simple Plan is a band with Reset debut, as early as 1994, lead singer Pierre Bouvier and drummer Chuck Comeau and two others formed the predecessor of the band in Montreal. At that time, the average age of the four members of the band was only 13 years old. 1997, the band recorded and released its first demo, limited to 2000 discs, which quickly attracted the attention of some local independent brands. 1998, the band signed a contract with Canadian small label 2 1 12 and released two relatively successful albums, and toured with big-name bands such as MxPx, which also made Reset famous in the Canadian punk circle. Just after the recording of the second album, drummer Chuck chose to leave Reset due to academic problems, but his decision to temporarily leave the music circle was only a short process.

1999, Chuck hired his good friends Jeff Stinko and Sebastian Lefebvre to take charge of the guitar performance of their new band, but the lead singer was late, and Pierre, who was disheartened by Reset, joined them without hesitation. The turning point of the whole thing happened at the end of 1999. Pierre happened to meet a long-lost Chuck at a concert of Sugar Ray, and Chuck invited Pierre to join the band as the lead singer on the spot. After recruiting the bass player David Desrosiers, the five young people decided to name the band Simple Plan, which comes from the name of a movie that all band members liked unanimously. In 200 1 year, the band participated in the annual large-scale tour Vans Warped, which received great response. At the same time, the contract with Lava, a mainstream Canadian brand, was quickly and successfully finalized. In early 2002, Jane planned to start recording her first album. During the recording, they also went to the United States to work with Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 and joel madden of GoodCharlotte. They also guest starred in the bass and guitar parts of two songs respectively. In May 2002, the band's debut album "No Pad, No Helmet" ... just balls, was officially released. There are 12 simple and powerful works in the album, which express the anxiety and dissatisfaction in the hearts of adolescents and their yearning for love and life value in humorous language. At first, the record didn't get much attention, but two months later, the band began to tour in North America, and their record sales were as exciting as their live performances. When the sales volume of this album exceeded 6.5438+0.8 million copies, Simple Project has become one of the most popular new bands in 2002.

In 2003, Simple Plan had a new plan: First of all, Pierre and Comeau, two distinctive members, were tired of wearing the clothes provided by sponsors, and simply founded their own clothing brand Role Model Clothing with Patrick Langlois, their best friend in childhood, and started to run their own clothes after the tour; Secondly, the band hired Bob Rock, the former producer of Metallica and Motley Crue, to participate in the production of their new albums, which makes people wonder whether their new works will be metal-oriented.

In the summer of 2004, after recording the second album, Simple Plan and compatriot Avril Ramona Lavigne, who just released the new album, started their European tour together. At the end of 10, when they returned to Canada with the dust of their tour, the much-anticipated second album of Simple Project was still not released ... and finally released. Interestingly, when the good Charlotte completely abandoned her own style and never came back, when Sum4 1 continued to explore in the direction of metal and hard core, Simple Plan, which released a new album at the same time, put forward its own position concisely and clearly, and they wanted to make their site more and more stable. The first single of the album "Shut up" is still the signature pop punk style of Simple Plan. And thanks, jumps, promises and other works. It has the characteristics of the first album, and it is as refreshing and powerful as ever. The most commendable songs in the whole album should be slow versions like Crazy, Perfect World and Everyday. From the exquisite and compact arrangement of instrumental music and deeper and wiser lyrics, we can see a simple plan that is gradually maturing. Obviously, they are no longer a group of little boys who can only live and dance on the stage. It is worth mentioning that Simple Plan still retains their purest sense of humor in the cover design of the limited edition of the new album. We will see the faces of five band members at the age of 90-simple and casual clothes, old faces with gods. This picture makes people laugh and think about something at the same time. Maybe this is the temperament of a simple plan. Behind the simple and pleasant notes, there is not a simple heart.

It is worth mentioning that on July 24th, 2005, as a guest of CCTV-MTV Music Festival, I parachuted into Beijing.

Not only have they made great achievements in music, but they are also very enthusiastic about public welfare undertakings. Three years ago, they set up the SimplePlanFoundation charity foundation to help troubled teenagers who are suicidal, poor or addicted to drugs. They emphasize that they never drink or take drugs, and are willing to help teenagers with such problems get rid of alcohol addiction and drug addiction. Some female fans who are crazy about them have said that they want to tattoo their band's logo on themselves, and they will also advise fans to think twice, because "tattooing is a lifetime thing". In case the tattoo master is not good, the wound may become inflamed and infected, which shows their attention and concern for the vast number of young fans.

The emotion of Simple Plan actually comes from the eternal anger and youthful impulse of classic punk. Drums, smooth melody, fashionable appearance, good strength and excellent performance make them the mainstream music consumption target of a generation of urban teenagers. Pierre Bouvier, the lead singer, was named one of the sexiest 14 men in 2005 by American PopStar magazine, and it can also be seen that the future of Simple Plan will be more colorful.

So far, "Simple Plan" has won the MMVA Best Band Award five times.

[Edit this paragraph] Form history

This simple project started at 1993, and the bands named "Friends of Heavy Metals" were formed, namely Pierre Bouvier, Charles Andre "Cha" Cuomo, Philip Jolico and Adrian White. Reset to visit Canadian bands, such as MxPx, 10 foot pole, and face to face, but only gained meager popularity. The first album, don't worry about the release of 1998, and don't worry about entering the university soon after Comeau leaves. Two years later, he met his high school friend Jean-Fran? Jeff Stinco and Sébastien Lefebvre of Ois are independent bands, and they combined to create a band. At the same time, the second CD was reissued without any restrictions (the two CDs will be reissued as a single CD in 2006, and liner took note of Bouvier and Comeau's comments). At the end of 1999, Comeau and Bouvier got to know each other again and rejoined Comeau shortly after Robinson's concert [2], and Bouvier left. David will replace Bouvier in North America, but when asked to join the quartet, he also left the band six months later. This makes Bouvier, who is also the lead singer and bassist of the band, concentrate on singing.

The name of the origin band is ambiguous. Band members have given various interesting reactions at this point, including that the band is a simple plan for them to avoid getting "actual" jobs. However, the most likely name is taken from the movie Simple Plan. The name was only temporary, but they never thought things would get better, and showed that the name of the new band was stuck in the future.

No hat, no helmet ... just a ball (2002-2004)

Main articles:

In 2002, Jane Plan released the first studio album "No Pad, No Helmet" ... Just Ball, which led to the later single: I am just a child, I will do anything, addiction and perfection. The simple plan points out that their goal is pure pop punk records. The title of the album reflects the popular football logo line movement on CD, "No cushion, no helmet, no vagina."

Record 12 tracks originally released in the United States, which ended perfectly. In addition to the original 12, strengthen the foreign version in several different versions, and add at most two tracks. For example, the American release contains extra songs "Growing Up" and "My Christmas List", while the British release contains extra songs "One by One" and "American Jesus" (the cover of the live version of bad religious songs) and two music videos. I can't do anything. I'm just a child.

This record also contains the voices of two other pop punk singers, including Mark Hoppus from blink- 182 and joel madden from Good Charlotte.

In 2002, Jane planned to release an album, and Jane planned to broadcast more than 300 programs, breaking through the territory of new alternative artists and selling out her visit to Japan. In 2003, the band made a twisted tour on the roof to commemorate the punk rock massacre, which appeared in a one-man comedy movie and four band members were killed. They will also play a short-term role in the distorted journey in 2004 and 2005. In addition, in 2003, they started Avril Ramona Lavigne's "Please shut me up" tour. In addition to some headline tours, they are also open to Green Day and Good Charlotte.

Still haven't received ... (2004-2006)

The band performed Agawam.

Main articles:

In 2004, Jane Plan released the second album, but still didn't receive any ... which led to the subsequent singles Welcome to My Life, Shut up, Untitled, Crazy and Perfect World.

As mentioned above, at the time of writing this article, there are no pads, no helmets ... Just Balls, and its member simple plan is aimed at pure pop punk records. This time, however, when writing "But I didn't receive any …", the members' simple plan indicated that they would not restrict their punk style, but let themselves write "good music".

According to the reward DVD, we still haven't received any ... At the same time, there are many names that let CD members simply plan their ideas, including "getting rich or trying out models" and "danger zone". The name they decided on still hasn't been explained ... list. The most popular and most likely reason is that the members of the Simple Plan think they have not received any good comments. Bouvier pointed out again that they just changed the publishing house in a good review recently. Another reason may be that they don't get any respect. There are many changes made by band members, because everything can be really put into practice and then omitted, including "better", "smart", "interesting" and obvious sexual connotation. Comeau once used "all-rounder" to describe the main album.

Still haven't received ... shows the simple planning and. They still keep their pessimistic lyrics style to match the happy music, but try to go beyond the standard pop punk genre. Although the anxiety of teenagers that this CD still feels on many tracks may be the most obvious song in the first album, I'm just a child without a cushion and helmet … just a ball, but the general trend of this album is a slightly deeper and more mature lyric theme, and more mainstream voices, while staying away from the last album of pure pop punk style. Some critics pointed out that it contains "classic" or "mainstream" rock elements, claiming that the album "Germany emphasizes punk mobility and is conducive to straightforward and meticulous modern rock".

In 2005, Simple Plan also released a live album MTV Hard Rock Live, which included live versions of songs from previous albums. There are two different versions of the album-a standard version and a fan pack version. The standard version includes the overall performance of audio, the madness of sound version, the real-time transmission performance of two video images, the performance of jumping and closing of the first two songs and the picture of a booklet. The overall audio and video performance in the fan bag is 5. 1 surround sound, three songs "Welcome to My Life" and "Crazy and Perfect", a 32-page color travel book, and an exclusive and simple scheme of patches and thumbtacks.
