Where is Mount Cisse?

Cisai Mountain is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River in the east of Huangshi City.

Cisai Mountain, also known as Daoshi Jiji and Jitou Mountain, has an altitude of176.5m and a circumference of18.5km.. Historically, it has integrated ancient battlefields and scenic spots with its geographical location and steep terrain. Since the last years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, literati have been reciting poems and writing lyrics for nearly a hundred times while watching the morning and evening of Mount Cisse, and left many cliff stone carvings on the steep cliffs.

The planned total area of mount cisse scenic spot is 0.495 square kilometers. The steep and beautiful natural landscape and numerous scenic spots in this area are the main objects, and the vicissitudes of Huangshi ancient city and ancient poetry are important cultural connotations. Cisai Mountain is located in the south bank of the Yangtze River in the east of Huangshi City, which is rich in tourism resources and has many scenic spots, and belongs to the national 3A-level tourist scenic spot.

Taohua Ancient Cave 1

Between the steep walls of the river on the north side of Mount Cisse, the cave is about 3 meters high, below the upper circle, shaped like a temple gate, and 2 meters inside is closed by stalactites. The cave door is engraved with the words "Peach Blossom Ancient Cave". 1985 widened Yixian gorge, the only dangerous road leading to the ancient cave, and installed a 90-meter-long chain guardrail to ensure the safety of tourists. Below the cave is the ancient Diaoyutai.

2. Cliff stone carvings

There used to be many stone carvings in the cliffs in the northeast of the mountain, such as Flying Boat, Aoyu Stone, Tiger and Leopard Pass, Longdong, Xiaoyao Yunlin, Thousand Pagodas with Shock, Bell Cliff and Buddha's Palm, some of which have faded with the years. On a 4-meter-high stone tablet on the banks of the Cisai Mountain, there are three Chinese characters "Cisai Mountain", with the square character 1 square meter, written by Zhu Qichang, a scholar in the Ming Dynasty. From here to the east, there is a stone carving of "Long Pan Hu Ju" by Ming Dynasty scholar Wu.
