There are four kinds of endorsements to Hong Kong and Macao.

L endorsement (that is, endorsement for group travel must be entered with the tour group)

G endorsement (that is, personal travel endorsement, free travel to Hong Kong and Macao)

S endorsement (that is, commercial endorsement)

T endorsement (that is, visiting relatives endorsement)

Personal endorsement

Issued to applicants for personal travel to Hong Kong or Macao.

Where Chinese mainland can apply for G visa: Residents of Guangdong Province and 28 cities can apply for free travel to Hong Kong and Macao (also known as G visa).

28 cities: Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Taizhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou, Tianjin, Chongqing, Chengdu, Jinan, Shenyang, Dalian, Nanchang, Changsha, Nanning, Haikou, Guiyang, Kunming, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Changchun, Hefei and Wuhan.

There are five kinds of endorsements: once every three months, twice every three months, 1 year, 1 year, and multiple endorsements every year (limited to Shenzhen registered residents), and each stay in Hong Kong or Macao is no more than 7 days.

Group Travel Endorsement (L)

For teams participating in travel agencies designated by the National Tourism Administration.

There are four kinds of group travel endorsements: once every three months, twice every three months, 1 year and 1 year, and each stay in Hong Kong or Macau is no more than 7 days.

Endorsement for visiting relatives (t)

Applicants who visit relatives who have settled, studied or worked in Hong Kong and Macao.

Stay in Hong Kong and Macao once every three months with the endorsement of visiting relatives shall not exceed 14 days. Stay in Hong Kong and Macao with a three-month multiple-entry endorsement for no more than 90 days from the first entry.

Business travel endorsement

Mainland residents who come to Hong Kong for business in a private capacity must hold this endorsement. You can travel to and from the two places for many times with an S-visa, and the validity period ranges from three months to one year, with a maximum stay of 14 days each time.
