Where is Jiande Daciyan Temple?

Daciyan Temple in Jiande is a cultural tourist attraction.

Daciyan Temple is located in Daciyan Scenic Area, Daciyan Town, jiande city, and is called "Hanging Temple in the South of the Yangtze River". According to the records of the county, Daciyan was founded in Yuan Dade (AD 1297-137). Mo Ziyuan, a native of Lin 'an, abandoned his family and came here to carve a stone into a Buddha, nicknamed Daci, from which a Daciyan came. The main building of Hangkong Temple in the south of the Yangtze River is "Earth Hidden King Hall". It is one of the ten scenic spots in Xin 'an, with the name of "Ciyan Hanging Building". Because the building is half embedded in the rock belly and half flying over the cliff, it is similar to Hengshan Hanging Temple in Shanxi, so it is called "Jiangnan Hanging Temple".

According to the old records, Daciyan is a famous temple of Xingsheng. It is built next to the rock, and the rock is tens of feet high and exquisite in all directions, just like a folk house, with stalagmites pouring out from the ground. During the Dade period of Yuan Dynasty, Mo Ziyuan, a native of Lin 'an, abandoned his home here and carved stone into a Buddha, nicknamed "mercy". As can be seen from local chronicles, the mountain is named after the temple and the temple is named after the Buddha. The buddhas and temples were all built by Mo Ziyuan.

Daciyan is more than 5 meters high, and the temple is suspended on a mountain wall about 4 meters high. The main building of the suspended temple is Qingyin Pavilion, and the facade of the pavilion is a mountain. From left to right, statues of Confucius, Taishang Laojun and Sakyamuni sit in turn. In recent years, in order to attract tourists, the plank road has been opened up along the mountain wall, with a length of 8 meters, and new landscapes such as the Hall of the Earth Treasure King, the hanging fence of Tianxiang and the double-faced smiling Buddha have been built.
