When I go on an island tour in Taiwan at the end of January, what clothes and shoes do I need to bring?

I just came back from Taiwan. It rains every day there. Be sure to bring an umbrella. I brought a thin cotton-padded jacket and wore it almost every day. The weather in Kaohsiung is better, the sun is shining, a long-sleeved base layer on the inside, a thin knitted cardigan on the outside, and jeans on the bottom are just right. Shoes of any age are acceptable. There are girls wearing boots, sandals, and everything else. Taipei is the coldest, so you must wear cotton-padded clothes, or a thinner, short down jacket. You'd better bring a long-sleeved base layer, loose short-sleeved shirts. When it's cold, wear the short-sleeved shirt outside the long-sleeved base layer, a cardigan, a windbreaker, and a cotton-padded jacket. We went for ten days. Special reminder: shoes must be waterproof. For sports shoes, it is best to buy small wedge heels. Never bring mesh or cloth shoes. It rains all the time. I brought a pair of high-waisted leather shoes and Nike wedge sneakers. Bring two pairs of long johns.
