The former site of the Southern Zhejiang (Pingyang) Anti-Japanese Base is located in Fengwo Community, Shanmen Town and Shuitou Town, Pingyang County. This area is known as "Zhejiang Yan'an". The former site of the Anti-Japanese Base in Southern Zhejiang (Pingyang) is a national red tourism classic scenic spot. It is the activity center of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army’s Advance Division, the Fujian-Zhejiang Border Provisional Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the Zhejiang Provincial Committee. It is the center of comrades such as Su Yu, Liu Ying, and Zeng Shan. It is one of the revolutionary bases in southern Zhejiang and is also a national patriotism education demonstration base. It contains many revolutionary relics, including the revolutionary historical sites of the Red Army, the historical sites of the Fujian-Zhejiang border base area, a major historical site of the Communist Party of China in Zhejiang Province, a historical commemorative site and General Su Yu. It is a landscape group of revolutionary sacred sites in five major sections including the place where ashes are scattered.

On January 13, 2017, the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government announced it as the seventh batch of cultural relics protection units in Zhejiang Province.
