When traveling to Chengdu, it is enough to read this guide. It also includes a complete guide for food, accommodation and travel.

Many times, a quick trip may be a bit of a luxury, so I am used to making plans in advance before going to a place. It’s not necessary to follow a certain plan, but this guide can help you more or less during this journey. In this way, there is both known practicality and unknown madness.

There are not too many scenic spots in Chengdu, and three days is just right. I have been to Chengdu before, and it was the first time for a friend who was traveling with me, so I went to some places I had been to before. In the article, I will introduce you to great places to live, eat, and play.

The first day

In order to save time, we chose the train that departed at night and arrived in Chengdu around eight o'clock the next morning (if you are traveling on a budget like me, it is recommended to buy it The train arrived in the morning, because I was a student, so from the perspective of budget control, I just saved one night of accommodation). On the train, we met a group of friends who were going to Chengdu together. Although we had just met each other, we didn’t feel at all uncomfortable because we were all college students. Finally, we even played Werewolf. We were so excited that when we checked the time, it was already early in the morning. A little more.

There is a subway station not far from the exit of Chengdu North Railway Station. After arriving in Chengdu, we said goodbye to our friends. We first went to the hotel we had booked before and called the front desk to ask for directions.

The hotel we booked is near Yulin West Road (the place where Zhao Lei’s song “Go to the end of Yulin Road and sit at the door of the tavern” was sung). We had planned to book a youth hostel with my friends before. , where you can make friends from all over the world. However, for safety reasons, there was a recent incident of being secretly photographed while staying at an airbnb, which attracted widespread attention on Zhihu, so I did not dare to book youth hostels or B&Bs. It’s much safer to choose a hotel. However, the owner of the hotel we booked was super nice. He showed us around the room and gave us water. We booked the room on Ctrip. I can help you with that hotel. Search for "Xinjiayuan Business Hotel". At first, I was there. I saw this hotel on Meituan. I thought it was cheap and wanted to book it. The most important thing was the location. However, I didn’t book it on Meituan. For students, cost-effectiveness is still very important, so I decided to book it. I booked it on Ctrip and it only cost 92 yuan. For the first time, I felt that a hotel in a first-tier city as good as Chengdu is still so cheap. Then we took the subway and got off at Yiguanmiao Station, which seemed to be from Exit A (Chengdu Metro Station is relatively large, so don’t take the wrong exit when exiting the station, otherwise you will take a detour), and walked for a while to the hotel (the location of the hotel is not It is very conspicuous, next to the entrance of a community). Because I couldn't find the place, I called the front desk once and asked her to tell her the landmark nearby.

The hotel I went to early in the morning was sparsely crowded. When I arrived at the hotel, I checked in. I originally booked a special room, but the front desk said that I would be exempted from upgrading to a king room, and the boss was also there. When I entered, I found that the room was really comfortable. It was standard for hotel chains, and the style was a bit like Seven Days Inn.

After putting away our things at the hotel, we set off lightly. After asking for directions at the front desk, we discovered that our place was very close to Wuhou Temple, Jinli, and Kuanzhai Alley. The boss said that Sichuan University is also nearby. It’s true. It's God's will. Because the hotel is near Wuhou Temple, we took the bus to Wuhou Temple (I remember taking bus 93 to get there. Fortunately, there is a bus stop under the hotel, which is a lot more convenient). After getting off the bus, you must have apps like Amap and Baidu Maps on your mobile phone that can guide you in the direction. This is a must for those who can’t tell the north, south, east, west, and only know the front, back, left, and right when going out.

I saw Jinli first before I found Wuhou Temple, and finally found that Wuhou Temple is right next to Jinli, and the two are actually next to each other. For foodies, Jinli may only have one word: eat. There are endless delicacies in front of you, and you can't move at all. It was almost twelve o'clock when we arrived at Jinli, and we walked and ate all the way. I completely forgot about taking photos before eating.

Jinli and Nanluoguxiang are very similar. They are both long commercial streets. One piece of music in "Kiss and Shoot" is "Jinli", and the other is "Nanluoguxiang". , I’m lucky enough to have been to both places, and after leaving the scenic spot, I felt like I was there after hearing these two pieces of pure music, which were profound and meaningful.

I probably walked around Jinli for nearly two hours, and most of the time I was either eating or looking for snacks. After walking around Jinli, we went to Wuhou Temple and took pictures at the famous "Red Wall Bamboo Shadow". Be sure to bring your student ID card when you go out. Not everyone can enjoy the half-price discount.

It was past four o'clock after visiting these two attractions. We originally planned to go to Kuanzhai Alley, but the styles of Jinli and Kuanzhai Alley are similar, so we temporarily changed our plans and went to Sichuan, a century-old famous school. Big (Jinli and Sichuan University are very close to each other). It's just that a very embarrassing thing happened on the way there. We took the bus in the opposite direction for more than half an hour before we discovered it, and then we went to the other side of the road and turned back. Therefore, it is really necessary to look at the direction of the arrow before taking the bus when you are not sure about the direction of the place, otherwise it will be time-consuming and labor-intensive.

When we arrived at Sichuan University, the next step was to take various photos. It is indeed a century-old famous school, and the architectural style of the entire school has a sense of the times.

When it was getting dark, we went to Jiuyan Bridge to see the long-awaited tavern. We walked there. It was small inside, but there were so many people. The entrance was full of people taking pictures. I felt that Zhao Lei had already taken this place with him. It became a scenic spot. We took a few photos and posted them on Weibo before leaving haha.

In the evening, I went to eat Chuan Chuan on the street not far from the hotel. It was very delicious. The address is on Yuquan Road, or you can directly navigate to "Hua Chuan Chuan" or "Melon Chuan Chuan", as a foodie Of course I can't miss these wonderful foods.

Then we returned to the hotel.

A perfect ending to a full day.

The next day

I went to People’s Park early the next morning to experience the morning tea life in Chengdu. ?

Sitting with friends drinking tea and chatting, I want to truly integrate into Chengdu and experience Chengdu culture. The world is noisy and my heart is impetuous. I haven't been this calm for a long time.

Unknowingly, it was almost noon, and we started walking to Kuanzhai Alley. The two places are very close to each other. What a coincidence is that every time we go to a snack street, we always go there during lunch time. Maybe we are destined to be associated with snacks. When I was doing some research before coming to Chengdu, I learned that there is a place called Xiaotong Alley near Kuanzhai Alley. It has a literary and fresh style and is a photo spot. Maybe because we were so forgetful about eating, we finally couldn’t remember this item in our plan.

There is one more thing you must do when you come to Kuanzhai Alley: send postcards to distant friends and stamp them with a few special postmarks. The electronic age has infiltrated into our lives and hearts. In the eyes of many people, words seem unnecessary in this era, but the cold screen can never match the emotion contained in writing on a piece of paper.

This is indeed a time-consuming task. By the time I finished sending the postcard and left the store, it was already gray. Our next stop was Tianfu Square. It was raining a bit, but it didn't affect our mood at all. My companion said: This is actually a very romantic thing. When enjoying the night view in the rain, whether it is romantic or not ultimately depends on your own mentality.

In fact, the normal route should be Tianfu Square, People’s Park, and finally Kuanzhai Alley, and vice versa. We changed the route just to experience the early morning in People’s Park. The journey on the road is like this. Many things may not go according to the original plan, but as long as you enjoy it, it is a great thing in itself.

The rain got heavier and heavier that night. My mobile phone and power bank were all out of power, and I got lost with my companions. The most important thing for girls when going out is their own safety, so if it gets dark, you can reduce your schedule. Nothing is more important than your own personal safety. We asked the police who were on guard in Tianfu Square at the time and called the hotel front desk. Fortunately, we used the remaining battery life of our companion’s cell phone to guide us back to our accommodation.

The second night was spent with drizzle.

? The third day

Because we were going to the Giant Panda Base in the morning, we got up very early. (We stored our luggage in the hotel because we couldn't come back in time at noon. The lady at the front desk didn't charge me. It felt very warm. She also chatted with us enthusiastically and recommended tourist attractions.) Take the subway to Panda Avenue Station. There is a ticket office when you get out of the subway. Point, is a cute panda car.

After purchasing the ticket, there is a direct train to the scenic spot and you will be sent to the Giant Panda Base for free. After leaving the Panda Base, we took the subway straight to the city center, walked Chunxi Road, went to Ocean Taikoo Li, and read leisurely at Fangsuo Bookstore.

Fangsuo is too commercialized, but the interior is really beautifully decorated and worth a visit (on the basement level of Taikoo Li)

It is recommended that you go in and visit and see the world. When I went there for the first time, I was thinking: There is such a high-end bookstore in the world (crying).

The trip is complete.

Summary:

In fact, the most enjoyable thing about this trip was the friends I made on the train (and even left WeChat messages with each other, haha). The hotel I stayed in was very worry-free, and most of the scenic spots were in the city. Center, all in all great.

Tips:

1. For a short trip of two or three days, a backpack is enough. Wear a set of light and casual clothes. If you want to pose for a photo, bring a skirt. It doesn’t take up much space;

2. Travel shoes are really important, because you never know how long you will be walking on the next trip;

3. Remember to bring rain or shine shoes Umbrella, this time we traveled during the day when the sun was shining brightly and then it started to rain in the evening;

4. Then for girls, there are various small cosmetics (be sure to wear sunscreen! Be sure to wear sunscreen Cream! Be sure to apply sunscreen! Otherwise you will get tanned a lot). There is a very complete way to organize it online. You can learn from it before traveling. I think it is very useful;

5. The power bank and mobile phone must be fully charged. The battery was so good that when my phone ran out of battery on the way back, it really felt like I was isolated from the rest of the world.
