Geographical environment of Mengshan National Forest Park in Shandong Province

Shandong Mengshan National Forest Park (Mengshan Yunmeng Scenic Area) is located in the south of Mengyin County, on the north side of Mengshan Mountain Range, with a northwest-southeast trend, stretching for more than a hundred miles. The peaks stand tall, the canyons are steep, there are many ancient trees and strange rocks, and there are more than 100 famous peaks. It is said that there are not only the majesty of Mount Tai and the preciseness of Huashan, but also the beauty of Huangshan and the wonders of Yandang Mountain. The scenery here is different all year round: spring is beautiful, summer is waterfalls and running water, autumn is mountains and red leaves, and winter is Xun Mei. It is a scenic spot for relaxing in the summer and returning to nature, with an area of 55,000 mu.

Mengshan Mountain, called Dongmeng and Dongshan in ancient times, is a branch of Taiyi Mountain System. Guimengding, the main peak, is located in the northwest of Linyi City, Shandong Province, and in Berlin Town, the administrative committee of Mengshan Tourist Area in Linyi City. It is located between north latitude117 35 ′-118 20 ′ and 3510 ′-38 ′, with a northwest-southeast trend and a total area of1658 ′. The elevation of Guimengding, the main peak, is1156m. It is located in Berlin Town and is the second highest peak in Shandong Province. It is known as "Asia of Daizong" and "Dai Ya". Mengshan has beautiful natural scenery, which combines the majesty of Mount Tai, the beauty of Huangshan, the preciseness of Huashan and the magic of Yandang Mountain. In spring, the mountains are green and the sea of flowers is boundless. In summer, waterfalls are rushing and clouds are lingering. In autumn, the mountains are blue and the red leaves are reflected. In winter, they are wrapped in silver, which is particularly enchanting.

1993 was approved as a provincial forest park by the Provincial Forestry Department, 1994 was approved as a national forest park by the National Forestry Department in February, and 1995 was listed as a provincial scenic spot in Shandong Province. In September 2002, it was awarded the second place in the first "Ten New Scenery of Qilu" in Shandong Province by Shandong Provincial Tourism Bureau, and won the second place in 2004. Now it is a national AAAAa-level tourist attraction.
