Development and Significance of Bengbu Gate Water Conservancy Scenic Area

Covering an area of 500 hectares, Bengbu Gate Water Conservancy Scenic Area of Huaihe River is a comprehensive water conservancy scenic area integrating popular science education, waterscape sightseeing, leisure and holiday, tourism conference, ecological conservation and other functions. The approval of this national 4A scenic spot not only adds the fourth national 4A scenic spot to Bengbu City, but also becomes the first national 4A water conservancy scenic spot in the Huaihe River amorous feelings tour of Anhui Province. The relevant person in charge of Bengbu Tourism Bureau said that the approval of Bengbu Gate in 4A scenic spot will help Bengbu to display its image and promote the upgrading of tourism industry. The national 4A-level scenic spot is a high-end tourism product, and Bengbu has the fourth national 4A-level scenic spot, which is of great significance to consolidate the status of Bengbu as a tourist center city in northern Anhui, realize the further upgrading of Bengbu tourism industry, and enhance the taste, image and popularity of Bengbu tourism and Bengbu city. The development of the Huaihe River water conservancy scenic spot, represented by Bengbu sluice, shows that the Huaihe River management has developed from flood control and flood fighting to multi-functional and multi-form comprehensive utilization such as flood control and drought relief, water-saving irrigation, water resource conservation, comprehensive development and tourism utilization.

It is understood that after being approved for 4A scenic spot, Bengbu Gate will become the main product of the boutique tour route of Huaihe River. Based on the promotion of 4A, the scenic spot will create a cultural brand of Huaihe River Basin, which will not only "create" the scenic spot, but also "sell" the scenic spot. The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Tourism Bureau said that, to this end, the Bengbu Scenic Area will continue to rebuild and expand the carrying capacity of the existing tourist center, strengthen the integrated development and utilization of wetland parks, increase interactive amusement projects involving tourists such as cruise ships and fishing, and further promote the scenic area through various means.
