"Three Gorges" written by Xu Xiake needs to be translated

Reading thousands of books and traveling thousands of miles is my creed in this life. In my more than 30 years of travel, I have traveled all over the country. China's vast land and abundant resources, the profound history and culture, and the magical and magnificent natural landscapes have all deeply shocked my soul.

The Three Gorges of the Yangtze River originate from the Tuotuo River on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the roof of the world, with a total length of more than 6,300 kilometers. It surges from west to east, traversing the hinterland of China, and the scenery is incomparable. Regardless of the magnificence of the scenery, the historical perspective, or the richness of the culture, the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River embraces the magnificent scenery and rich humanities with its grandeur. The Three Gorges of the Yangtze River is like a book with profound connotations. You will have a new feeling every time you read it.

I remember when I was 20 years old, in order to relieve the depression in my chest during the wasted years, I took the train to Chongqing for several days and nights. I bought a bulk ticket at Chaotianmen Pier and headed down the river. During that voyage, I enjoyed the magnificent scenery of the Three Gorges for the first time. The majestic cliffs of mountains and rivers created by nature's miraculous craftsmanship, and the quiet and beautiful Little Three Gorges were all engraved in my mind like a brand. These magnificent scenes will continue to remind me in my future life journey that I must have a broad mind and learn to be good at accepting.

When I was 30 years old, in order to commemorate my "thirtieth anniversary", this time I chose to sail upstream through the Three Gorges. Because in that era when everything is waiting for prosperity, if a person wants to make a difference, he needs the courage to go against the current. Really, I am very grateful for that voyage, because it wrote a new preface to my "thirty".

When I was 40 years old, I worked in a travel agency. The club knows that I prefer Three Gorges, so they always call me when there are tasks from Three Gorges. During my work journey, I gradually became familiar with the Three Gorges and gradually gained a better understanding of the Three Gorges. During the tour, I experienced again and again the magnificence of Qutang Gorge, the beauty of Wu Gorge, the perils of Xiling, and the majestic appearance of the Three Gorges Dam under construction like a rainbow and lying waves.

During the tour, I learned about Shennong, who tasted hundreds of herbs in ancient times, and Wang Zhaojun, whose righteousness spread throughout the ages. I also learned about Qu Yuan, the great poet during the Warring States Period, and the origins of eating rice dumplings and paddling dragon boats. Here, Li Bai, the great poet of the Tang Dynasty, once wrote the eternal masterpiece of "The white emperor's colorful clouds are in the court speech, and the thousands of miles of rivers and mountains are returned in one day". Here, Du Fu also sang the poem "The endless falling trees rustle under the endless Yangtze River." Famous sayings throughout the ages. . . . . .

Now, in the year when I know my destiny, when some Taiwanese friends ask me, which place on the mainland has the most Chinese style? I solemnly recommended the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River to them. Because I feel that only a journey to the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River can give me a deeper understanding of the motherland at once.

I have been to the Three Gorges many times before the Three Gorges Dam was built, but I feel that I still have not read it thoroughly. Usually Kuimen in Qutang Gorge, Goddess in Wu Gorge and Zigui in Xiling Gorge always appear before my eyes. Liu Bei's Baidi City Tuogu and Lu Xun's Burning Battalion are historical stories that I have been familiar with since I was a child. After experiencing them again and again during my trip to the Three Gorges, they have been deeply ingrained in my memory. Liu Yuxi's newly translated "Zhuzhi Ci" and the soul-stirring Sichuan River chants also echo in my ears from time to time. . . . . .

I think that as long as there is a chance in the future, when I am 60, 70, or even 80 years old; as long as I am still alive at that time, as long as I can still walk at that time, I must be like The great painter Liu Haisu visited the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River again at the age of 80, just like he did when he visited Huangshan Mountain!

The Three Gorges of the Yangtze River is not only a natural river with magnificent scenery and unparalleled beauty in the world, but it is also a long historical river with a long history of Chinese culture.

Therefore, one of my favorite songs to sing so far is "Song of the Yangtze River". My favorite journey is still the trip to the Three Gorges. In my dreams, I still dream of those exciting voyages. . . . . .
