Can I use China's credit card when traveling in Korea?

Yes, you can.

China UnionPay and South Korea BC Card Company started to cooperate in 2004. All China bank cards with "UnionPay" logo (including debit cards, credit cards and dual-currency cards; No matter which bank), you can use it directly in Korean merchants, or you can withdraw cash from ATMs with the "UnionPay" logo.

Merchants who can brush China UnionPay cards are:

1) PIN merchant (password consumer merchant): the mainstream merchant in Korea, which is generally labeled as "UnionPay". Support all debit cards, credit cards and dual-currency cards in China. It is distributed in major tourist cities such as Seoul, Busan, Jeju Island, Incheon and gangwon. Credit cards can be used in large duty-free shops, department stores, supermarkets, convenience stores, cosmetics stores and playgrounds in Korea.

2) Merchants without PIN (password-free, consumer signing merchants): UnionPay standard credit cards (card number starts with 62) issued by ICBC, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Bank of Communications, CITIC, China Everbright, Minsheng, Xingye, Guangfa, Shenfa, Shanghai, Beijing, Ping An, etc. 15 China commercial banks can be signed for consumption in all Korean merchants.
