Japan’s latest visa policy

It is necessary for everyone to understand Japan’s latest visa policy. After all, many people will go out for fun during the Spring Festival. In a few months, they will be able to go to Japan to enjoy cherry blossoms, so it is still necessary to understand visa-related information.

From 2010 to 2012, China has been Japan’s largest source of tourists. In order to enhance people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and strengthen Japan-China friendly relations, Japan has once again relaxed the conditions for issuing visas to tourists this time. The new visa policy will be implemented on January 4, 2008. The specific implementation contents are as follows:

(1) Japan has decided to simplify the visa application procedures for undergraduates, graduate students and students who have graduated from 1,243 universities affiliated with the Ministry of Education of China within three years (previously only for 75 universities). As long as you have proof of study and no financial proof, you can apply for a single visit visa to Japan for up to 30 days. Based on the size of our country’s undergraduate and graduate students, this policy is expected to benefit 25 million to 30 million people.

(2) If a Japanese tourist comes to China twice as an individual (not a group) within three years, the procedures for applying for a multiple-entry visa will also be simplified. Visitors only need to prepare their passport and application form to apply for a multiple-entry visa. Japan does not require proof of financial ability.

However, Chinese citizens who are not subject to the above conditions still need to submit relevant information required by the Japanese government when applying for a Japanese visa.

Group logo:

Group visa is a group tourist visa. When traveling in a group, the travel agency will give you a unified visa. Guests holding a group tourist visa cannot cancel the group midway. They must arrive at their destination on the same flight and leave on the same flight.

Signature:

It is an individual tourist visa, which is the visa that independent travelers choose to apply for. You can freely choose your entry and exit dates and arrange your own itinerary. It should be noted that the Japanese Consulate in Shandong stipulates that when applying for a personal tourist visa, air tickets and hotels must be booked through a travel agency.

Japan single-visit visa:

Valid for 3 months (can enter Japan within 3 months from the date of issuance)

Stay 15 days (entry Maximum stay is 15 days after Japan)

Conditions: Annual salary of 100,000 RMB.

Three-year multiple-entry visa for Okinawa and six northeastern counties in Japan;

Valid for 3 years (can enter Japan within 3 years from the date of issuance)

Continuous Time: A single stay shall not exceed 30 days, and a year shall not exceed 180 days.

Important: If you go to Japan for the first time, you must stay at least one night in Okinawa or the six northeastern prefectures (Fukushima, Miyagi, Iwate, Akita, Aomori, and Yamagata). You will need to provide proof of accommodation. When returning to your country, you should bring the original proof of accommodation to the consulate for cancellation. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to enter next time. Once you enter Japan, there will be no destination restrictions.

:Visa

1. Go to Okinawa multiple times within three years.

I haven’t been to Japan in three years. I applied for a three-year Okinawa visa with an annual salary of more than 200,000, and I have been to Japan for more than 100,000.

4. If an immediate relative has multiple visas for three years within two years, provide a copy of the passport page, visa page, and relationship certificate. Immediate relatives can apply for multiple visas of the same category in Japan.

Conditions

Validity period: 5 years (you can enter Japan within 5 years from the date of issuance), no geographical restrictions.

Duration: no more than 90 days in a single stay, no more than 180 days in a year.

6. Journey

Subsidiary applicants should provide proof of immediate family relationship, household register, birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc. with the main applicant. If you apply separately, please provide the first page of the passport of the immediate family member, the five-year multiple visa page, and the relationship certificate.

Materials required for Japan personal tourist visa cancellation:

1. The original passport of the guest, or a copy of the visa page and entry-exit stamp.

2. Full boarding pass

3. For the guest’s return report, we will provide a form and the guest will stamp it and bring it back.

4. Original proof of accommodation (only required for 3 years).
