Travel Diary of Silithus
Silithus is my last stop in southern Kalimdor. After spending more than a few months in the heat, I'm used to it, and I wasn't disappointed here. Un'Goro's friend pointed out an almost unrecognizable path leading up from the northwest corner of the crater to the abandoned land-Silithus. This is obviously a path carved by the hands of intelligent humanoid creatures, and the way through the rocks and trees has been carefully measured. I moved along it slowly and arduously. Without this path, it would be impossible to move forward.
I finally emerged from the jungle. The air became dry, but the heat was still there. In front of us is another desert, deserted and full of wind and sand. But I immediately saw a gryphon landing in the distance. I followed its landing route and came to a small night elf outpost -... However, they were here, and judging from the condition of the building, they should have been here for a while.
But I later learned that this was not the case. They live in a restored night elf ruins. Apparently, this land called Silithus had been inhabited by elves for a long time before the Cataclysm. This outpost is under the administration of the Cenarion Circle, a group of druids dedicated to keeping the peace. They confided in me their concerns: the silikids posed a major threat to Kalimdor, and indeed the world.
So far, I see no sign of any major threat. The hives of Feralas, Tanaris, and Un'Goro have always seemed to fend for themselves. They are small in size and live in deserted places. However, the bugs here seem to show signs of intelligent activity. The Cenarion Circle observes and reports on the bugs' movements. Perhaps in an effort to gain Ironforge's support, they graciously showed me around this desolate and arid place.
