What materials do mainlanders need to apply for visas to Hong Kong?

Mainlanders have to apply for Hong Kong and Macao Pass to go to Hong Kong. Handling materials include household registration book or other household registration certificates, application forms, opinions of the work unit on the applicant's going to Hong Kong and Macao, and supporting materials corresponding to the application reasons, etc. Apply to the exit-entry administration department of the public security bureau of the city or county where the household registration is located.

Article 6 of the Interim Measures for the Administration of China Citizens Traveling to or from Hongkong or Macao for Private Affairs.

Mainland citizens who travel to Hong Kong and Macao for personal reasons must apply to the exit-entry administration department of the municipal or county public security bureau where their household registration is located.

Article 9

Mainland citizens applying for going to Hong Kong and Macao for personal reasons must answer relevant inquiries and go through the following procedures:

(1) Submit the household registration book or other household registration certificates;

(2) fill in the application form;

(three) submit the opinions of the employer on the applicant's travel to Hong Kong and Macao;

(4) Submit certificates corresponding to the reasons for application.
