Lijiang Dali Shangri-La Kunming Self-guided Tour Guide Arrive at Lijiang Airport at 8:30 on the 31st and prepare for the evening of the 5th
Chengdu:
Accommodation: Lvyouji International Youth Hostel, on Xinghui West Road. It is relatively close to the train station and there are many foreigners. 25 a night, and also provides free breakfast, which I think is pretty good anyway. Recently, there have been a lot of posts on the Internet about travel friends, mainly saying that after booking a room at their home, they found that it was canceled. In fact, you must remember this reservation. According to international practice, you need to confirm your arrival two days before going. time so that the room will be reserved.
Play: I only stayed in Chengdu for two days. Because I came as a transit station, I didn’t plan to go to many places. I mainly walked around the city. Chunxi Road, Tianfu Square, Jinli, Wuhou Temple, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Kuanzhai Alley, etc. If you are interested, you can go there.
After you get on the main road from the hostel, you can take the bus directly to Chunxi Road. Personally, I think it is just a place selling things, which is quite boring. After shopping, you can walk to Tianfu Square, and then not far away is Jinli Wuhou Temple. Anyway, I just looked at the map and walked around for the whole day. Jinli and Wuhou Temple are together. Jinli is very commercial, and there is a snack street inside. The food is very delicious and very expensive, so don't buy it. But you can see black swans in the pond in Jinli. Tickets for Wuhou Temple are RMB 60, half price for students. Du Fu Thatched Cottage and Qingyang Palace are very close. I went to the Thatched Cottage to worship my classmate Zimei. Qingyang Palace is just a temple, not very interesting.
Kuanzhai Alley must be mentioned. The road was under construction when I went there, so it was difficult to find it. Kuanzhai Alley is divided into three categories: wide alley, narrow alley and well alley. There are many bars inside, and the music is very comfortable. It's a good place to order a cup of coffee and listen to the music to have a little bourgeoisie. Longtang Youth Hostel is located in Kuan Alley. If you like liveliness and are not afraid of noise, you can stay there when you go to Chengdu. Anyway, I think it’s better to find a quiet place to play and sleep. Then there is Wenshu Monastery near Donkey Friends. It is only a temple, but the street is more interesting than Jinli. Anyway, just wander around casually.
Eat: Speaking of food, children who go to Chengdu must go together. There are many delicious foods, such as hot pot, those fly shops, iron plates, this and that, they must be Only when there are a lot of people can we go and eat~~~Oh, oh, oh, oh, I am exhausted. I can only eat some snacks by myself. The more famous snacks in Chengdu are the red oil dumplings, Sanhe Ni (just meat paste with three types of meat, not delicious), and San Da Pao (there is really no need to eat this, it is just three glutinous rice dumplings, and when it falls on the drum, it makes a thump thump thump) After three rings, it will be popped into a dustpan, rolled in sugar, and finally poured with brown sugar juice) Lao Ma Rabbit Head, Zhong Dumplings (just dumplings with sauce~~not recommended), Guokui, etc. In fact, many of them are just names, not necessary Go and eat. Turn left after exiting the youth hostel. When you cross the bridge, there is a rabbit head shop selling braised rabbit heads and stir-fried vegetables. I didn't eat the rabbit head. After all, it's my family's cooking, and the cooking is pretty good. Then those snacks are eaten on the way shopping. There are some very small noodle shops and wonton shops in Yanshikou. The bread noodles and miscellaneous sauce noodles you buy are delicious. Be sure to add a plate of red oil chili seeds when eating. There is a school nearby, so I always go in with the middle school students after school. Anyway, I just choose a store with lots of people. I ate Hong You Chao Shou at Lihua Street and also had Maolai. Even though it's such a big bowl of red oil, it's actually not spicy at all. There is a snack street in Jinli. The food is very expensive and unpalatable. I strongly recommend not eating there! ! !
The fruits in Chengdu are very sweet. There are three-wheelers selling ugly oranges on the roadside. They look like big oranges. They are super sweet and have no seeds. They are much cheaper than those sold at stalls. Speaking of fruits, water chestnuts have to be mentioned. Many people on the street are selling peeled water chestnuts, which are crisp, sweet and refreshing. The selling price ranges from 10 to 6 yuan, so I’ll ask a few more stores. Anyway, I bought it for 6 yuan a bag. The Guokuitan jelly is also very delicious. I bought it on the way to Kuanzhai Alley. Another time I got lost and bought a cake on the way back to the hostel. It was very similar to hibiscus cake, with beef filling and a poached omelette inside. I was curious about how it was made. tasty. On the way to the train station along Renmin Road, you will pass by a market with everything to eat. Especially recommend the spicy skewers and jelly, they are great. On the street of Wenshu Monastery, there is a palace cake shop that sells flower cakes with rose filling, which is a bit sweet, but the rose flavor is very strong. There are also various other kinds of pastry candies, candy bars, and cakes, and many locals queue up to buy them. To sum up, in Chengdu anyway, the best way to eat delicious food is to eat at roadside stalls.
OK: Buses in Chengdu usually cost 2 yuan, so be sure to bring some change when you go out. In addition, the traffic jams in the city are quite serious, so those who have time and energy should just walk.
Kunming:
Accommodation: Bigfoot Youth Hostel. Recommended by many people, there is a membership card for 25 per night, with a mixed room for 8 people. By the way, the one in the Bigfoot Guide said to take bus 64 from the train station to the hostel. You have to cross the street when you exit the station and go straight. Cross the sidewalk at the first intersection, turn right and wait for the bus there. In addition, many bus stations in Kunming, especially those near the train station, have incomplete stop signs. Be sure to ask the locals if the bus you want to take passes here.
What to do and do: There are actually only a few parks to visit in Kunming. In this season, you can go to Yuantong Temple to see the cherry blossoms, and stroll around Cuihu Park and Grand View Garden. But now you can only see wild ducks, but you can't see the red-billed gulls. They have left the capital. You could have seen them a month earlier. I heard that many of the birds are very spectacular. The other ones are Stone Forest and Jiuxiang. They are all karst landforms, one above ground and one underground.
Bigfoot no longer provides one-day tour reservations. You can only go to a travel agency yourself. The basic price quote is 1,670, including fare, tickets, explanation, and lunch. Shilin Jiuxiang can only be separated for one day. I only went to Jiuxiang for a one-day trip, and I negotiated the price from 140 to 100, and the one in Shilin was a bit more expensive. Set off early in the morning, first go to two places selling things, then go to a temple, and then have dinner. We didn’t officially visit Jiuxiang until around two o’clock in the afternoon, and we had to rush back after four o’clock, so we still had enough time. Actually, the main reason for going to Jiuxiang is that I have never been to a cave before and just wanted to see it. After reading it, I felt that the cave was just like that. Those who have seen the cave should not go there. For students who want to go to Shilin Jiuxiang, it is better to join a group tour. Although you have plenty of time to go by yourself, you will definitely spend a lot more money.
The places mentioned above have travel routes in Dajiao. You can refer to the bus guides and so on. They are all just updated and relatively reliable.
For those who like bars, go to Kundu near Dajiao. It is a very sensual place. There are also some streets near Yunda University. The area around Wenhua Lane is very lively at night. Very prosperous. I recommend a coffee shop in Cultural Alley. Xia took me there. The Mexican flavor inside is very authentic, but I forgot the name. Hehe, I’ll fill it in later when I ask.
Eat: Next to Bigfoot is Xinxin Road. Xinxin Road Market is said to be the largest farmer’s market in Kunming, with a lot of delicious food in it. Highly recommend the eel rice noodles from the old Yuxi flavor rice noodle shop at the entrance of the market! ! ! ! ! A must-eat, a must-eat, it’s delicious, my character guarantees~! ~! Take a look, we ate eel roll noodles. Personally, I think the roll noodles are more delicious. Lao Yuxi’s ice porridge is also a special feature, you can try it. Then there are many grilled tofu shops on the roadside in Kunming, which cost 5 yuan, and they are also very delicious. Also, on the road near Dajiao (ask the front desk of Dajiao, I won’t describe the specific location), there is Jiaqiao Xiangyuan Chicken Soup Noodles, which cost 8 yuan for a casserole-sized dish with very thick chicken soup. Side dishes are also good. It's the small shop on the right side of the road, not the one open 24 hours a day, so don't go wrong. The barbecue next to this shop is also very delicious, grilling all kinds of meats, vegetables, etc., especially the glutinous rice and lotus root. There are also some around Yunda University, such as Yuanxi Road and the like. There is a shaved ice shop on Yuanxi Road. The fruit shaved ice and mango pudding are both delicious. Children who love cakes can go to Jiahua Cake House, which can be found all over the street. This one is relatively cheap, with egg tarts costing one yuan each, and they taste good. There is also a better one, that one, I forgot the name, come back and look at the photo album, that restaurant’s signature strawberry lotus is great. In addition, I personally think that the peppers in Kunming are spicier than those in Chengdu, but they are both delicious. hey-hey.
Lijiang, Shuhe:
From Kunming to Lijiang, take the 8:20 a.m. train to Lijiang East and arrive at around 8 p.m. 41 yuan.
Accommodation: According to everyone’s recommendations, I stayed at the Mama Naxi Inn, 20 a night. It was very quiet. When I went there, there were all foreigners and I was the only Chinese. You can take bus No. 13 at the train station and get off at Beimen Market, then call someone to pick you up at the bus station and that's it. If you go directly to the train station to pick up, it's 20 yuan. There are buses anyway, so why not save some time.
Things to do: There are a lot of things to do in Lijiang, but they are all more commercial. I definitely went to the ancient city, and then Black Dragon Pond, Shuhe, and White Sand. If you want to be clean, go to Shuhe. At Dashuiche Square in the ancient city, turn left without crossing the overpass and take bus 11 to Fuhui Market (many posts on the Internet say that you take the bus to Liklong, but the station is called Fuhui Market, but there is a supermarket next to it called Fuhui Market) (It’s just a car). It costs two yuan per person to take a minivan to the Shuhe Subdistrict Office in the parking lot next to it. You can rent a bicycle from Shuhe and ride to Baisha. The natural scenery of Baisha is beautiful and original, and it can be reached by bike in about half an hour. As for Lijiang Ancient Town, the elementary school is relatively quiet, and there are many unknown shops selling CDs and the like. Anyway, I usually go there when I go shopping.
Eat & Buy: Lijiang is more famous for Lijiang Raked, Chicken Bean Jelly, and Cured Pork Ribs Hot Pot. You can eat these at the vegetable market, the price is absolutely fair and the taste is absolutely authentic. As for the vegetable market, I often go to Zhongyi Market, which is near Mufu. Go to the end of Mufu Street and turn left where it intersects Guangyi Street. There is a Baisui Bakery. The alley opposite to this shop is Zhongyi Market. Entering this alley, you will find a Naxi-style snack. The cured pork ribs hot pot costs 28 a portion. There are so many ribs that neither of them can finish them all. Breakfast is also served here, with Lijiang cakes costing 2 yuan each. You know, they all sell for 5 yuan in the ancient city. There are many shacks in the market selling food, which are all very cheap. Chicken bean jelly in ancient cities ranges from 5 to 8 yuan, here it is 2.5 yuan. I like to eat fried chickpea jelly, it’s crispy and not greasy, haha ??I must eat it every day. There are also rice enemas and the like, try them all, they are not sold elsewhere. If the weather is hot, go for a bowl of cold shrimp ice powder. It’s sour, sweet and ice-cooling. A big bowl only costs 1 yuan, which is super cost-effective. Various fruits are sold in the market, including dried apples, dried mangoes, and dried papayas. I love dried apples. Forget about the chestnut cake sold in the ancient city, you will regret it after eating it. There are also Lijiang small potatoes, baked on the roadside, or cut into strips and fried, which are also delicious. There is also the Beimen Market, which is where you get off the bus on Route 13. There are many fish pot sellers, which are also very delicious. Xiaoguo 28.
By the way, if you want to buy Pu'er and spirulina, it's best to ask locals you know them to bring them, as they are at least one-third cheaper.
Because there is a huge commission, if you are of good character, you can directly find an acquaintance to get the inside price, which is more than half the price. But don't let the tour guide take you into the store, they will get commission. Speaking of Pu'er, don't buy the kind that costs tens of dollars, those are super bad. The relatively affordable ones cost at least 300 or 400 per cake. Also, don’t trust those Mosuo handmade shawls that are everywhere in the street. First, it’s not handmade at all, it’s all machine-made, and the little girl weaving at the door is just showing off. If you really want to knit, one person can knit two pieces a day at the fastest. (For a real handmade shawl, if you pay less than 80, you will lose money.) Secondly, this kind of mechanism is very loose, and it is especially easy to get caught in the corners, and then it will become silky, and then you will cry.
Shangri-La, Meili, Yubeng:
This is a group tour, because I can’t find suitable people to go with, and there are road constructions along the way, so chartering a car is very expensive, so It's better to join a group tour. Although it will be a bit more expensive, it will save you a lot of worry. Moreover, the team leader will introduce a lot of customs and customs that you would never understand by yourself. I applied for an outdoor tour in Maguotou, priced at 1,280 for 6 days, including transportation, tour guide fees, attraction tickets, and accommodation.
Accommodation: They are all booked in advance, so there is no experience to speak of. Let’s take a look at other strategies. If there are students who live in Benzilan in your itinerary, please note that the accommodation conditions there are relatively poor. However, if you go to Meili, you can only stay there, so make do with it.
Eat: Bring your own (gosh, the front desk person who signed the contract told me to bring my own food, and then I really carried a school bag of food!!! The uncle’s climbing rain collapses) I want to go to SHI~~~~). Then, the highland barley cakes in the ancient city of Shangri-La are super delicious. You must try them. Although 10 yuan a piece is a bit expensive, they are very big. There are also butter tea and yak meat hot pot. A few of us shared a table to eat, which cost a lot. By the way, if children going to Yubeng want to save money, they must bring their own bowl of noodles, and then after going up the mountain, just ask him to soak it with water at the rest stop, which costs 3 yuan. If you buy a bowl of noodles at Shangshan, it costs 10 yuan a bowl. You must try the highland barley wine and wine brewed by Yubeng villagers, even if you don’t drink. But it’s just that the wine has a lot of stamina.
OK: The road is under construction recently, and there are landslides. The road there is very difficult to walk, and it will be passed within a time limit. Everyone, be prepared, bring more snacks and so on, and sometimes wait. It will take up to 6 or 7 hours to pass.
Play: Lashihai, Moon Bay, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Songzanlin Temple, Dongzhulin Temple, etc. are all on the way. Lashihai is a large wetland, where you can watch waterbirds walking along the Tea Horse Road. Rowing costs 90, which is not worth it. It is recommended not to row. It costs hundreds of dollars to ride a horse, let alone ride one, it’s super deceptive. Moon Bay is the famous bend of Jinsha River. The only way to go to Tiger Leaping Gorge now is to go to Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge. The middle Tiger Leaping Gorge is closed due to road construction. However, the most beautiful scenery is still in Zhonghutiao. The most suitable place is hiking. It’s a pity that we can’t go there. It’s a pity. It is estimated that the repairs will be completed this fall, and children who go there after October can walk to Zhonghutiao. However, Zhonghutiao after the road is repaired... alas~~
Shangri-La. The ancient city of Shangri-La is similar to Dayan, but it is very quiet and mostly aboriginal people live there. You can see the largest prayer barrel. Nearby are Dongzhulin Temple and Songzanlin Temple. Personally, I think just go for one. all the same. It is recommended to go to Songzanlin Temple~~~ However, Songzanlin Temple has been undergoing renovation recently. Now the main hall has been completed, leaving only some surrounding areas.
Most people who go to Meili go to Rizhao Jinshan Mountain. Stay one night at Feilai Temple, and then see Rizhao Jinshan Mountain the next morning. Then we went to Xidang Village, which is the village at the foot of Yubeng Mountain. Everyone who hikes in Yubeng usually enters from here. The road from Feilai Temple to Xidangna is quite beautiful. But the road is difficult to walk, so be careful.
Xidang Village begins mountain climbing, with an average altitude of 3,600. If that doesn't work, just ride a mule up the mountain. There are three rest stops along the way. The third rest stop is at the snow mountain pass, where you can see the vast white snow mountains. It takes about three or four hours to walk up the mountain. After passing the pass, it's all downhill, and it takes no more than forty-five minutes before the rain stops. After entering Yubeng, it is recommended that you visit Ice Lake Divine Waterfall for two days apart, because one day will be really tiring, very, very, very tiring, and you will be exhausted.
Napa Sea and Yila Grassland are all dry and yellow this season, but you can see red-crowned cranes. Another kind of desolate beauty.
Dali:
Lijiang East Railway Station to Dali, 10:55 am. Ticket price is 16 yuan. Take Route 8 directly from the train station and you can get to the ancient city of Dali for RMB 50. The train station is in Xiaguan and the ancient city is in Shangguan. It takes a long time to take the bus, and Dali buses generally do not announce their stops. If you don’t know where to get off, Just sit at the end point, which is Cangshan Gate in Dali Ancient City.
Accommodation: I have lived in quite a few places in Dali and I think they are all pretty good. Yanju, spring, summer, autumn and winter, lazy people go home and so on. All are 20 a night.
Play: Dali Ancient City, Foreigner Street. In fact, I feel that all ancient cities are almost the same. There are also the more famous Cangshan Erhai Lake, Dali Three Pagodas, Butterfly Spring and so on. If time is tight, just sign up for a one-day tour at Yanju Inn. For 180, you can visit Erhai Cruise, Nanzhao Customs Island, Taoyuan Pier, and Butterfly Spring, and lunch is included. If you have time, rent a bicycle and go around Erhai Lake.
Erhai is actually a big lake. Why should you spend money to see it? Just take bus 8 and find a car at the village where you can see Erhai and then walk straight to the seaside. It is very quiet and comfortable. Suitable for dazing or something. Cangshan is just a mountain. It’s quite boring. Let’s take a look. I’ve seen more beautiful places, but I haven’t climbed Cangshan. You can also go to Xizhou. In the parking lot next to Cangshan Gate, there are buns going to Xizhou, usually priced at 5 yuan per person. In fact, you can just go to the national highway and hail a taxi, and it will be delivered to Xizhou for 2 yuan each. The Yan Family Courtyard in Xizhou is very famous as a Bai ethnic residence. But now it has been moved and the building is empty. You can take a look at the general appearance. A decent old house is much better than spending money to go to a new location. There is also Shuanglang, which is also a small town with strong folk customs.
Eat: Dali has a lot of delicious food. Roast bait cubes, milk fans, Yangbi roll noodles, pea flour, cold chicken rice noodles, carved plums, rake meat and bait shreds. I recommend a small shop, Baiweixuan on Fuxing Road. It is the intersection of Yu'er Road and Fuxing Road. If you are facing Cangshan Gate, turn right. Otherwise, turn left. They are all eaten by locals, and they are very cheap. Rice noodles, shredded bait, and pea flour all cost 3 yuan for a large bowl. Dali's cold chicken rice noodles are delicious, but the pea flour is average in my opinion, not very tasty. There are also milk fans and bait blocks. Bait cubes, my favorite! ! It must be grilled and filled with dough sticks. The deep-fried dough sticks will become very crispy when baked, and can be added with various flavors of sauces, such as sweet sauce, spicy sauce, salty sauce, fermented bean curd, and white sugar. They are so delicious~~~I once ate 6 of them in one day~~ ~~For grilled bait cubes, just a little further ahead from Baiweixuan, there is a fork in the road that goes downhill. At the intersection, there are two restaurants selling bait cubes, priced at RMB 50 each, and refueling sticks priced at RMB 2 each. Choose the one on the right, it has plenty of ingredients. You can also drop by. There are two small barbecue stalls down there. The small potatoes there are skewers for 50 cents, and you can also eat other barbecues, which are delicious.
Next is the breast fan. It seems that they are only sold in Dali. It tastes delicious grilled or fried, and tastes like milk. I'm not used to eating it raw anyway. They are usually sold on the roadside for two yuan each. Children who love food can go to the wet market to buy raw milk fans. I bought three for 12 yuan. Then take it to the store for processing. In the small restaurant next to Yanju, Auntie will help you fry fried milk fans. Three pieces cost 5 yuan, which is enough for you to eat for several days. Or take it there and ask someone to bake it for you and brush it with rose sauce. It’s delicious.
Dali seems to be very famous for plum blossoms. It looks like carved plum blossoms. Anyway, there are various plum stalls on the roadside, ranging from sweet to sour to spicy. Yes, I like sweets. There are also mutton rice noodles, especially when they are cold, eat a bowl, don’t be too warm~~ I found two, one is in the lower section of Foreigner Street, Guizhou Liupanshui mutton rice noodles in Chengxinjing, and the other is in the lower section of Renmin Road, very popular Down, almost to the end. Personally, I think the one on Foreigner Street is more delicious. Children who go in a group can go to eat at small Bai restaurants together. There are many on Renmin Road and the lower section of Foreigner Street. Their specialties are fish, steam-pot chicken, and other kinds of stir-fries.
