The U.S. announced new regulations on photos for visa applications

The U.S. State Department particularly emphasizes that passport photos must comply with the regulations . The State Department received more than 200,000 invalid passport photos last year, causing application delays that could impact travel. The main problems with these "unacceptable" passport photos include that the photo is too bright, too dark or has shadows on the face, the photo is more than six months old, the photo size does not meet the requirements, the photo is taken too close or too far away, or Is it blurry, grainy, has low pixel resolution, or is the photo printed on low-quality paper.

Glasses tend to produce reflections, which is a big problem regardless of whether the camera has a flash or not. The State Department said that in the future, passport photos will no longer show people wearing glasses.

The State Council recommends that if you must wear glasses, you should wear contact lenses to avoid unnecessary trouble.

2. Dress neatly during the interview, be polite, neither humble nor overbearing, do not be nervous when answering questions, be simple and clear, and do not answer questions that are not asked. At the same time, attention should be paid to keeping state secrets.

3. Leave immediately after the interview, do not linger, and do not communicate too much with other personnel. If you are refused a visa during the interview, don’t get excited, stay calm, and explain the situation to the interviewer calmly. If the other party doesn’t listen, don’t bother and do things that harm your national character, because the visa officer has to face many interviewers every day. Most people don't want to hear too many explanations.

4. Pay attention to situation feedback. The final results of the interview and important situations encountered must be reported to our visa office in a timely manner.
