What is the visa processing process in Europe? Seeking introduction
I. Schengen visa
1On June 4th, 985, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg signed an international convention in Schengen City, Luxembourg, whereby member countries issued visas in a unified format for short stays, namely Schengen visas.
According to the Schengen Agreement, a visa issued by any Schengen member country is considered valid in all other member countries, and there is no need to apply for another visa. There are several ways to apply for a Schengen visa:
1. Country visa: To go to a member country, you need to apply for a "country visa", which is only valid for entering and leaving the issuing country, and you cannot transit from other Schengen countries to enter the issuing country, otherwise you need to apply for a "Schengen visa";
2. Transit: To transit from one member country or several member countries to another member country, you need to apply for a visa from another member country (country of entry);
3. Host country: When going to several member countries, you should apply for a visa from the host country or the member country with the longest stay. If you can't determine the country, apply for the visa of the first country to visit;
4. Overseas Territories: Those who go to overseas territories or trusteeship of France, the Netherlands, Portugal and other countries should apply for visas from their own countries;
5. Multiple visits to countries: When passing through or visiting multiple Schengen countries, you need to fill in the itinerary, that is, the details of the countries and routes visited and the schedule of stay, and provide invitations to visit countries; Which country to apply for a visa, use the visa application form of that country, and the receiving country may request supplementary materials if necessary;
6. Long-term visas: Long-term visas exceeding 90 days are still approved and issued by the host country. Holders of long-term residence permits of member countries can freely enter any member country without a visa with valid international travel documents, and the stay period shall not exceed 3 months;
7. Single visa: You can only apply for a valid Schengen visa once, and you can only travel in Schengen countries within the validity period, and you can't transfer to non-Schengen countries and then return to Schengen countries;
8. Validity period: the validity period of travel documents must be longer than the validity period of visas, and travel documents must ensure that foreigners outside the Schengen country can smoothly return to their own countries or enter countries outside the Schengen area;
9. Access: Every country has the right to decide whether a person has the right to enter or is refused entry. The Schengen visa issued by another country will be restricted to another Schengen country, but that country must inform other countries about it.
Second, send a sign.
So far, among the 26 Schengen countries, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and Malta do not need to submit visa applications in person, among which Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands can not only find someone to deliver them, but also mail them.
1, Germany and Switzerland: it can be mailed to the visa center in the corresponding consular district;
2. Netherlands: Only Beijing accepts mail;
In countries that need to submit visas in person, there are also special circumstances:
1, Spain: people below Beijing 10 can find someone to send it, and those who travel with more than two people in Guangzhou can ask one of them to send all the membership information;
2. Austria: Applicants who have a Schengen visa record within five years in the Beijing consular district may entrust a third party to deliver the materials. Those who have traveled to and from Shanghai for many times within three years may entrust a third party to deliver the materials.
Third, fingerprint input.
Applicants who apply for a Schengen visa for the first time need to enter their fingerprints. According to the new EU regulations, Schengen visa applicants above 12 need to take photos in person at the visa application center to enter their fingerprints. The fingerprint entry of Schengen visa is valid for 59 months, and VIS is also marked on the visa.
If you apply for a Schengen visa to any country, if your fingerprint has been collected, you don't need to collect it again in person in the subsequent application, even if the country you apply for this time is not the last Schengen country.
Fourth, prepare materials.
