The Ganlu Ring Altar was built in the Song Dynasty and rebuilt in the late Ming Dynasty. It is one of the three existing ring altars in China.
Gumulberry is the oldest existing mulberry tree in China, with a history of more than 1,300 years. The ruins of the temple are Huang Shougong's mulberry garden. Zhongshan Road
The bell tower is located at the crossroads. Its east-west direction is east Main Street and West Main Street are Zhongshan South Road and Zhongshan North Road. Mr. Lu chose Zhongshan South Road for the first time. I thought the East and West Streets were famous, but I didn’t expect that the name of this Zhongshan Road in Quanzhou was also magical. It is called "Zhongshan Road". It was formed in the 1920s and 1930s. It is the only and best-preserved arcade commercial street in China. "There are two towers in the east and west, and one street in the north and south." The latter sentence refers to it. It's Zhongshan Road in Quanzhou, and its architectural style is similar. Many people see it in Po County, but it's also full of exotic atmosphere. It's rainy in the south, and the arcade can be protected from the wind. Since it's too hot during the National Day in Quanzhou, the owner simply used it to provide shade. It’s so beautiful that Mr. Lu had no choice but to do it himself.
Weiyuan Tower
“There are two towers on the east and west, and one street on the north and south. "Zhongshan Road has a long history. The cylindrical arcade building was built in the 1920s, with a total length of about 2.5km, and contains rich architectural culture. It combines the traditional characteristics of Quanzhou folk houses and the architectural essence of marine culture, and is a historical combination of Chinese and Western cultures. A successful example. “It’s rainy in the south, and the arcade can provide shelter from the wind. "Zhongshan Road, which concentrates the architectural style of southern China, is the only and best-preserved commercial street with arcade buildings in China. Zhongshan Road is like a bright pearl necklace, stringing together important cultural relics and historic sites in the ancient city. Walking here is like reading a book. This thick book can read through the history of the ancient city. Let's take a look at Zhongshan North Road. The strange thing is that the section of Zhongshan North Road from the Bell Tower to Zhongshan Park is still a pedestrian street, but there is traffic on it; You said it was to preserve the historical sites, but it’s not messy at all~~No doubt, friend.
The number one attraction on Zhongshan North Road, Weiyuan Tower, is right next to the hotel where you are staying, and outside the building is "Licheng". The bus hub of "Er Hospital". This was the former site of the Quanzhou State Palace during the Tang and Song Dynasties. Weiyuan Tower, also known as "Drum Tower" among the people, is commonly known as the North Drum Tower; modern people in Quanzhou call it "Southern Fujian Tiananmen Square". In the Southern Song Dynasty, Quanzhou Governor Wang Shiming The Weiyuan Tower (Weiyuan Tower) and the Wuchang South Tower (Yellow Crane Tower) were named "Famous Towers in the World"; in the autumn and August of the ninth year of the Yuan Dynasty (1349), Quanzhou Governor Qi Yuli chose another factory site in front of the state government and built this building. The ancient Quanzhou landmark tower was named Weiyuan Tower. It was rebuilt 100 meters later at the end of the last century. There are also cloisters on the first and second floors. It is a typical seven-bay, single-eaves building built against the mountain. The wooden structure hall imitates the ancient architecture of southern Fujian during the Tang and Song Dynasties. The landscape of the entire tower is simple and magnificent. Now the second floor is an exhibition hall, which is open to the public free of charge.
