How much does it cost to carpool on the Sichuan-Tibet line tour?
The people traveling west are not kind. Your 3,800 is just for the fare, but you don’t have to pay for food and accommodation throughout the journey? Are attraction tickets free of charge?
What’s more, it’s true that prices in Tibet have increased this year (the Prado price in Lhasa this year is 10.77/km, do your own calculations and the official price is very expensive), but Chengdu has not increased the price but has reduced the price (of course the price reduction is thought to reduce quality).
The chartered bus on the Sichuan-Tibet Line is 3,800 yuan/person, which is basically the Chengdu club price.
In addition to food and accommodation (difficult to evaluate), chartered cars generally do not choose Youth Hostel Datongpu. The price of food and accommodation will increase after Sichuan-Tibet passes Batang. Calculate it as 200-300 per day. A 10-day standard ride on the carpool line costs about 6,000-7,000 yuan.
To be honest, I don’t recommend self-driving. I usually drive in western Sichuan and it’s quite tiring after a few days.
Chengdu Club carpooling is a bit obvious:
1. One person can also carpool, but the time, attractions and itinerary are fixed.
Disadvantages: The club actually chose the method that has the fewest attractions with tickets, the shortest distance, and the shortest time.
2. There is no need to drive by yourself (don’t think that you are an experienced driver, everyone who drowns is good at water!). Older drivers will become sluggish when exposed to high altitude.
Disadvantages: The cost is a bit higher, but in general it’s not much higher! After all, you can compare the price of a small car priced at RMB 100,000 and an off-road vehicle priced at RMB 400,000. The damage to their car will be higher than your total cost.
3. Someone will give you a brief introduction and lead the way, so you don’t have to worry about it yourself. The main reason is that club cars are not afraid of Tibetans burying them in pits. It is said that if a self-driving car hits a chicken on the Sichuan-Tibet Line and pays 20,000 yuan, it is still a hot topic.
Disadvantages: The quality of drivers is generally not high! The club's control over drivers is almost limited to money. Of course it is better than finding a driver yourself. After all, the driver is not good enough and no one will take care of them. That's a once-in-a-lifetime meeting, and every vote counts.
4. Don’t believe what the club says about how talented we are. It’s all nonsense. The first three pages of clubs that Baidu can search for include even the drivers.
Disadvantages: Competition between clubs is fierce, and 3800 is their average price. I’m not saying it’s wrong to go below this price, but there’s definitely a problem if it’s too low.
5. Pretending and traveling on the Sichuan-Tibet line are two different things. Just pretend to be B and take a carpool. It is recommended to let the club customize the route (a little more expensive).
How to choose a club:
1. Choose one with an office! Look at the license!
Don’t believe it, there are more than 200 large and small clubs in Chengdu, and less than 1/10 of them have offices.
2. There are many route options to choose from! At the very least, the more customized routes there are, the more detailed the route plan the other party can provide.
Don’t believe it, there are more than 600 drivers running the Sichuan-Tibet Line in Chengdu, and there are no more than 10 people who know where Panpan Mountain is! (PS: Those who have read this article are not counted)
3. If you can provide outdoor equipment rental or activities such as hiking and self-driving (usually AA activities), you should get extra points. Of course, you are chartering/carpooling and It has nothing to do with hiking, just for reference.
How do you believe a driver who fell down from exhaustion after walking for 2 or 3 hours in the city told you that he hiked for 10 hours through the Aden Scenic Area?
