One-day tour in Luoyang

On the second day of National Day holiday, I went to Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang with my parents, aunts and sisters. Longmen Grottoes, one of the four largest grottoes in China, is located in the southern suburb of Luoyang 13 km away from Longmen Mountain, hence its name. There were so many people there that we managed to get tickets.

As soon as I entered the scenic spot, I saw two mountains (Xiangshan in the east and Longmen Mountain in the west). There is a river in the middle, called Yi River. The two mountains are connected by two bridges. Before we came to the Xishan Grottoes, I asked my father, "When were these stone statues carved?" Dad said, "Longmen Grottoes were dug around the time Emperor Xiaowen moved to Luoyang in the Northern Wei Dynasty, and were built in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Most of the people who stay now are people from the Northern Wei Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty. " After hearing this, I carefully observed the first Buddha statue. I think my father knows a lot. I must read more books, learn more knowledge and surpass my father in the future.

Listen to the tour guide and say, "Look carefully at the neck of the Buddha statue. As long as there are three lines around the neck, it is made in the Tang Dynasty, because the life in the Tang Dynasty is rich and fat. If there are no lines, it belongs to the Northern Wei Dynasty. "

We visited Binyang Cave, Lianhua Cave and other caves, and then came to Fengxian Temple, where the largest Buddha statue in Longmen Grottoes is located. Sacrifice first is to sacrifice ancestors first. Fengxian Temple is the largest, most exquisite, magnificent and most representative grottoes in Longmen Grottoes. These giant buddhas are very spectacular. Careful observation of the neck of each Buddha statue shows that it was made in the Tang Dynasty. Some grottoes have been destroyed by man-made, coupled with thousands of years of erosion, some have lost their heads, some have lost their whole bodies, some have lost their hands. Dad told me: "Man-made destruction is because during the Cultural Revolution, people regarded these cultural relics as feudal culture and destroyed them. So many Buddha statues have been destroyed, what a pity! "

Opposite Fengxian Temple is the Olympic Square, which was built for the Paralympic torch relay. A big torch was built on both sides of the square. Seen from the air, the middle of the square is a lotus shape, which attracts many people to visit here. Since the Olympic Games, the city has held Olympic-related activities here. Now I feel as happy as standing in an Olympic stadium.

After reading these, I like Longmen Grottoes more and more.

Ah! Longmen Grottoes, you are really a bright pearl in Henan!
