Brief introduction of Wanyao Reservoir

Wanyao Reservoir in Jiangshan City is a national large-scale (II) water conservancy project approved by the State Planning Commission and the Ministry of Water Resources, and it is also a key construction project in Zhejiang Province during the Eighth Five-Year Plan. The project focuses on irrigation and flood control, and integrates the functions of water supply, power generation, tourism and aquaculture. Wanyao Reservoir is located in Wanyao Village, Wanyao Township, Jiangshan City, southwest Zhejiang Province. The dam was built on the Hexi River, a tributary of Jiangshan Port at the source of Qiantang River. The dam site is 0/0 km away from Jiangshan City and 45 km away from Quzhou City. The reservoir controls the rainwater collection area of 2 12.5 square kilometers with a total storage capacity of 223 million cubic meters and a normal storage capacity of 208 million cubic meters. The designed annual average power generation is 30.74 million kWh, the irrigation area is 32 1 10,000 mu, and it can supply 654.38+000 cubic meters of water to the urban area every day.

The whole reservoir irrigation project includes four main canals: the main canal, the north main canal, the south main canal and the east main canal, with a total length of 86.5 kilometers.
