Introduction to Attractions

Xiamen has many tourist attractions. In this Jimei area, there is Jimei Aoyuan, covering an area of ??8,990 square meters. This is a place full of culture and entertainment.

This scenic spot was originally a small island. Because it looked like a turtle, it was called Jimei Aoyuan. This attraction took Mr. Jia Geng ten years to build and was designed and supervised by Mr. Jia Geng himself.

The entire scenic spot consists of three parts: the porch, the Jimei Liberation Monument and the Mausoleum of Teacher Tan Kah Kee. The entrance hall is beautifully designed, and there are some carvings on the wall, which are even more ingenious.

There is a Liberation Monument in the center of the park. On the front of the monument is an inscription by Teacher Mao Zedong, and on the back is an inscription written by Teacher Tan Kah Kee. The entire monument is made of granite, with eight steps at the bottom and three steps at the top, symbolizing the eight years of the Anti-Japanese War and the three years of the Liberation War.

Walking in Jimei Aoyuan, the walls, railings, and pavilions are all engraved with the party and leaders, as well as poems and couplets presented by people from all walks of life, which is full of cultural atmosphere.

And these carving techniques show our country's superb stone carving art, so it is also called the Stone Sculpture Museum in China.

There is also a cloister here in the Mastiff Garden, which contains sculptures of Teacher Tan Kah Kee, as well as his former residence and life story exhibition hall. It is a famous patriotic education base.
