Selincuo

Selincuo means "the one who reflects the power of the light" in Tibetan Devil's Lake" is the largest lake in Tibet and the largest black-necked crane nature reserve in the world. Going north from Shenzha County, after passing Xiongmei Town, you can see the sea-like Serincuo. Driving all the way towards Nyima, there was a long drive along the lake. If time permits, you can consider camping by the lake, find an angle you like, and slowly feel the changes in the lake water over time. We chose to camp on the hillside by the lake. From an overlooking angle, we can feel the magnificence of Selincuo even more. The island in the middle of the lake has a unique shape, and you can tell it is Serincuo Island at a glance. In less than a day, the scenery of the lakes and mountains here is constantly changing, and it is so beautiful. From the warm afternoon to the heavy rain in the evening, from the rainbow after the rain to the starry sky at night, from the tranquility in the early morning to the heat at noon, the lake water has different colors. It can be said that the lake is full of colors.

Angzi Cuo

From Selin Co, take S301 to Nyima County on the northern line of Ngari. After resting and replenishing supplies, go south along S205 to Angzi Cuo. This lake is rarely visited by people, so this road is relatively lonely. As soon as you leave Nyima County, you will see the sister lakes Gomang Cuo and Zhang Nai Cuo. S205 passes between the two lakes, followed by a long dirt road. Aung La Cuo will not appear in sight until the afternoon. It is not as stunning as other lakes, but it has a rare tranquility, like a treasure hidden in a boudoir. A group of Tibetan wild donkeys run freely under the sunset by the lake. That image is deeply imprinted in my mind. Not far away you can also see Jiagu Township, which is the only township nearby.

Dangrayongcuo

This lake played a lot of roles in the documentary "The Third Pole" and is slightly more famous. Especially in the Wenbunan Village area, you will meet many tourists. The road from Angtse Cuo to Dangra Yumcuo is almost an adventure. There are no villages or road signs along the way. We rely entirely on GPS and compass to find the way, and even use drones. I took the wrong road N times, going back and forth. I saw the lake right there from a distance, but I couldn't get across it. Just when I was about to give up and return, I finally found a way out. If you choose this route, you still need relatively rich experience to judge the direction.

When you successfully reach the southern end of the lake, you can go north along the east coast of the lake and finally reach Wenbunan Village at the northern end. This dirt road is not marked on the map, so you can follow the footsteps of the locals. This road is enough to enjoy the scenery of Dangra Yumcuo. For a whole day, you will drive along the lake. It is undoubtedly the most unforgettable lake viewing road in the entire route. The ever-changing colors of Rayongcuo will make you marvel at it again and again without feeling tired at all. Along the way, there are also Shang Shung Ruins and Yuben Temple to visit.

Dangqiongcuo

Dangqiongcuo is a small lake on the back side of Dangrayongcuo. Its area is only about one-tenth of the size of Dangrayongcuo, but the landscape is no different. Not inferior. Wenbu Township is located by the lake. The scenery is not inferior to Wenbunan Village. It is more like a miniature version of it and Dangra Yumcuo. The most important thing is that there is a private gas station here, and the gasoline is brought back from Nirmala. , but there is no guarantee of gasoline supply every day, it depends on your luck.

Zharinam Co

Compared with other lakes, Zharinam Co seems to be more popular among tourists. It is the third largest lake in Tibet. The color of the lake is deep and extends The island in the middle of the lake draws a beautiful curve on the lake. Its area in ancient times was much larger than it is now. If you pay a little attention when driving along the lake, you can see the traces left by the changes in the lake basin on the mountain. There is now a visitor center and observation deck in Zhari Nam Co. The road along the lake near Cuoqin is still a cement road in good condition. In addition, the trip to Zhari Namtso will still make you feel like an adventure trip. After filling up the tank at Nima, we drove along the asphalt road on the North Ali Line to Asuo Township. From here we can reach Zhari Namtso via Juncang. This is the only possible route on the map and is destined to be full of challenges and challenges. Unknown, the locals advised us not to go this route alone, as it is highly dangerous. Along the way, we experienced getting stuck in cars, getting lost, constantly turning back, and having the urge to give up many times. Finally, we arrived in good weather in a day and a half, proving that this is a feasible route. I think the best reward for this trip is that we met the Tibetan antelope, this mysterious and sacred creature.

Taruocuo

The road to Taruocuo was unexpectedly the most bumpy road.

Unexpectedly, the Ali North Line road was closed when we set out from Cuoqin. If we didn’t choose to wait where we were, we would have to find another way. We chose to go from Cuoqin to Jiangrang Township, then pass through Jima Township and Longgar Township to Taruocuo. This is a very small lake, and you can drive from one end of the lake to the other in just ten minutes. The road around the lake is being built, and the tents where the workers live are not far from the lake. This lake, which they have become accustomed to in their eyes, is extremely beautiful in our eyes. There are some small islands scattered in the lake, or very shaped stones, like an ink painting, which is also the iconic existence of Tarucuo.

Zabuye Chaka

This is the only salt lake on this line. The lithium content of this 235-square-kilometer salt lake ranks second in the world. There is a mining company stationed in the northwest corner of the salt lake, so you can see some mechanized work scenes. If you come from the wrong direction of Taruo, you can drive along the south shore of the lake to the west shore. The lakeside is just a field of white flowers. Only through the lens of a drone can we find the feeling of a mirror in the sky.

Renchen Hugh Buco

It is a pity to encounter cloudy days in Renqing Hugh Buco. The snow-capped mountains are hidden behind the clouds, and there are only gray lakes and lonely lake shorelines. . After the rain, the road was covered with puddles of all sizes. Although not as exaggerated as the puddle we fell into, we still needed to pass through it with caution. There were almost no people or any living things along the way. After arriving at Renduo Township on the east bank of the lake, it suddenly became lively. There were many people playing billiards along the street, and there were several hotels where you could stay overnight. While purchasing food, I learned that the bridge to Pajiang was blocked by floods and could not be passed within a short period of time, so I had to temporarily change the route.

Aung La Rhen Tso

Most of the tourists returned the same way because the road was broken. In order not to go back, we planned to visit Aung La Reng Tso, which is not far from here. , judging from the map, this is a large lake with a large island in the lake, which accounts for almost one-tenth of the lake. The road to here is not easy to find, there are no signs on the road, it is best to ask for directions in Renduo Township. Because of the inconvenience of access, this place is still a paradise and almost no one visits it. The few protruding stones in the lake are more special than those in Ta Ruocuo, so we chose to camp near them. The road from here to Pajiang is still under construction and impassable. The last way out is to go north to Gai Ze. The road at the beginning will be very difficult to identify. It is not until not far from Gai Ze that there is a clear road. Fortunately, there are no more traffic jams on this road, and we safely reach the end of the trip - Gai Ze. but. Notes
