Jiuzhaigou Travel Guide When is the best time to go to Jiuzhaigou?
Jiuzhaigou is a very famous tourist attraction. There is no cold wind in winter, cool summer, very pleasant climate, and unique Tibetan customs. Many friends will wonder, when is the best time to travel? I think travel is a trip that you can take at any time. As long as you want to go, it's never too late. Different seasons have different beauties. Today, I would like to introduce you to Jiuzhaigou in winter.
In winter, Jiuzhaigou Valley will be covered with snow, and the waterfalls sometimes turn into spectacular ice falls. Everything has entered a quiet world, but the water under the ice still makes a tinkling sound. In the sunlight, the still icefall will reflect a faint blue color. So friends who love photography and nature, don’t go just once, or only once.
The snow in Jiuzhai will never be absent. Surrounded by vegetation covered with heavy snow and silver makeup, snowflakes are everywhere as far as the eye can see. Probably only snow has the power to freeze time. No matter how many thousands of years pass, the snow in Jiuzhaigou will always be so beautiful that people can’t help but look around.
Jiuzhai in winter is a colorful wonderland. The snow on the top of the mountain in the distance, the dark brown rocks under the snow line, the maple leaves on the mountainside, the green vegetation on the horizon, plus the colorful sea and blue sky and white clouds in the reflection.
It is best to bring some dry food in the scenic area, as there are few canteens in the scenic area.
The official "Nine Villages and Six Wonders" actually cover the most eye-catching scenery in all four seasons. The trees are as green as flowers in mid-spring, the lakes and mountains are green in mid-summer, the mountains are dyed in golden autumn, and the ice sculptures are natural in mid-winter. Green Lake, Waterfall, Cai Lin, Xuefeng, Blue Ice and Tiangqing are known as the "Nine Villages and Six Wonders".
Pearl Beach, Five Flower Sea, Colorful Pond. Everywhere is a scenery, and every step makes people want to jump into the embrace of winter. They are always here waiting for Jiuzhaigou to create beautiful memories for every traveler.

Jiuzhaigou Valley has a large altitude difference and a huge temperature difference between morning and evening. Even the actual temperature at the highest altitude point will be lower than the weather forecast temperature, especially on rainy days, with rainfall concentrated from July to September. However, no matter when you go in any season, it is recommended to bring a jacket or winter clothing to cope with the changeable weather on the plateau.
Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong have very long plank roads, and the scenic spots have heavy water vapor. It is recommended to wear a pair of comfortable, waterproof, non-slip shoes. Also, sun protection must be in place and don’t underestimate ultraviolet rays.

There is no need to bring extra portable oxygen bottles ; 1-2 bottles is enough.
People who are afraid of motion sickness are best to take motion sickness medicine. The frail elderly should prepare commonly used medicines (such as berberine, quick-acting cold capsules, Liushen Pills, Weisuping, chlorpheniramine, Chengyuning, Yatong Pills, Rendan, Band-Aids, nitroglycerin tablets, etc.) and worry about lack of medicines. People who need oxygen can also be equipped with a small oxygen bottle (this can be purchased in Chengdu).
What to do if you suffer from altitude sickness
When traveling to a plateau, most people will suffer from altitude sickness to some extent, especially those who are new to the plateau. This is normal. As long as you are healthy, you will be able to adapt to the plateau climate quickly without having to worry about it. However, people with high blood pressure, heart disease, blood diseases, vascular diseases, asthma and other diseases in high altitude areas should be cautious when entering the plateau.
The main symptoms of altitude sickness are headache, chest tightness, and shortness of breath
1. Appropriate consumption of butter tea, dairy products, and beef and mutton can enhance the ability to adapt to the plateau climate.
2. Prevent dryness and add more water to increase the body's resistance.
3. Do not run or do strenuous exercise. Run less, shower less, and breathe deeply. If you have a headache, walk slowly. If you feel really uncomfortable, you can get some oxygen.
