Where will the 22nd General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization open?

On the morning of September 13, the opening ceremony of the 22nd General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization was held in Chengdu Century City International Conference Center. Thousands of elites from 130 countries gathered in Chengdu to discuss global tourism development.

The conference will hold six plenary meetings and more than 30 special and regional meetings to discuss topics such as tourism and competitiveness, establishing development partnerships and conventions on tourism ethics. The General Assembly will also elect a new Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

This year is the International Year of Sustainable Tourism Development. The meeting of tourism ministers will focus on "the goal of tourism and sustainable development, and establish a development partnership, taking the Belt and Road Initiative as an example". The layout of the main venue of the conference also fully embodies the theme of "One Belt, One Road", each with its own characteristics.
