The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge adopts the linear scheme from Shishan Shiwan to Gongbei Mingzhu. The main bridge section starts from Shisan Bay in the northwest of Lantau Island, Islands District, New Territories, Hong Kong in the east, connects with Hong Kong Port, passes through Hong Kong waters, passes through Tonggu Waterway, Dingling West Waterway, Qingzhou Waterway and Jiuzhou Waterway at the Pearl River Estuary in turn along the north side of the 23rd anchorage, passes through the southeast of Gongbei Bay in Zhuhai and ends at the artificial island at Zhuhai Macau Port.

The Zhuhai connecting line starts from the artificial island of Zhuhai-Macao Port in the east, passes through the southwest waters of Gongbei Bay, lush land special management area, Qianshan River and Baimian General Mountain in the west, and reaches the northeast of Gongbei Port. The Macao connecting line starts from Zhuhai and Macao.
