Can Taiwan Province people go to the mainland alone at the age of 16?

1. Application

Residents in Taiwan Province have not obtained foreign nationality and do not hold a valid mainland travel permit for taiwan residents. If they need to go to Chinese mainland, it is recommended to apply for a China travel permit at the embassy or consulate.

II. Requirements for "Consul China" to fill in the APP

(1) Log in to the APP and fill in the personal basic information step by step, completely and accurately according to the prompts (if you can't complete the real-name authentication of the APP account, you can use an account that has been authenticated by others).

(2) Sign the Declaration of Nationality Status online. Please note: it should be signed by the applicant himself. Applicants under the age of 1 shall be signed by one of their parents or legal guardian.

(3) upload photos of digital certificates (recent photos within 6 months, with white background, dark clothes, clear facial features, visible ears and no hat). Please refer to "Photo Requirements" for specific specifications). It is recommended to upload the electronic photo taken by a professional organization.

(4) Upload additional accreditation materials:

1. Travel documents in Taiwan Province;

2. If the applicant is under the age of 16, he/she should also upload the passport and other identity documents of one of his/her parents or legal guardian, as well as materials to prove the legal guardianship relationship (such as birth certificate, household register, divorce judgment, guardianship power of attorney, etc.), download the "Declaration of Agreeing to Handle Passport Travel Permit for Minors" (see the attachment) in advance, fill it out and sign it before uploading.
