Experiencing life in state-owned enterprises and private enterprises, I have some insights into the common problems of private enterprises
I am an engineer. I have been working in a state-owned enterprise for eight years (now I am the head of a department of a state-owned enterprise project). Because the construction site is in the north and the weather is cold, I took winter vacation early. , I am a person who can’t take time off. I happened to see the BB supervision unit recruiting people online. The project happened to be in the south, so I applied for a temporary job. I didn’t mention the salary or anything. First, I wanted to see the supervision unit. What kind of work process is this? Is there anything worth learning? (The author has been working in the construction unit). In less than half a day, I did not receive the job notification letter from BB Company. Then I bought a plane ticket and transferred once, and reversed three times. It was a bumpy ride in the evening. I went to the project department of BB Company and briefly learned about the project with my roommates in the evening. The results were surprising! (There’s a big mouth expression here, I’ll explain why later).
When I first entered a certain department, according to my previous habits in state-owned enterprises, everyone introduced each other, such as: Where are you from? Can you adapt to the environment? What specialties do you have there? This eliminated the psychological barrier. As a result, the office director took me into the YY department of my department. After a brief introduction, no one answered me. I stood and introduced myself, and the five people in the office sat and listened. After finishing my speech, colleague B from the YY department said, "New comer." What can you do?" , I smiled reluctantly and talked about what I could do and what areas needed to be improved. As a result, colleague B said that since he is so capable, these things belong to you, and after saying that, he brought over a lot of information. For a moment, I felt that I was regarded as an enemy (haha), but the head of the YY department remained silent. In this way, I read a bunch of inexplicable and strange information during the day.
There was almost no communication between colleagues during the day's work. After getting off work at noon, I walked around the various operation rooms. What surprised me was that the management of a supervision unit was so chaotic, and everything was placed haphazardly. , the sanitation is messy, there are a lot of expired and unprocessed things, it’s really hard to stand.
In the evening, I was sitting in the office when the head of the YY department came in. I was originally thinking of chatting about family feud, but as soon as he said, "I don't care how important anyone is, I don't want anything I don't want here." "I instantly realized that they thought I was here to steal my job. I was really dumbfounded. An ordinary temporary employee could bring such a big threat to an old employee of BB company. In addition, I summarized the chat with my roommate. This kind of embarrassment showed that The first problem (the key point) is that small companies have not established a talent selection system and have not established a promotion channel. Department heads are appointed and offloaded at will, causing old employees with some small achievements to feel uneasy.
The next day, I read a lot of information given by colleague B and then asked female colleague B for advice. I politely called "worker B". Did you give me this information so that I can check the problem? Or what? As a result, colleague B said, "Read it for yourself. These things have been given to you. You can't always count on me. You are here to work, and I am also working." As a result, a lot of information was placed there, and finally I found out that it was from our department. The person in charge is his wife. In principle, my relationship with female colleague B is on the same level, but female B actually arranged work for me. Then something even more ridiculous happened that really made people laugh and cry. The information female colleague B gave me was incomplete and important. All the information was put on the public computers. The important thing is that when I came, people also set the passwords on the computers. All three public computers had passwords! To guard me against thieves (haha, I’m not ugly either!), alas! With a long sigh, I will just make do with my shabby Surface! Originally, I could finish it in one day with her first-hand information, but I ended up working on it again for a week and came up with a program (using JAVA) that was more advanced than her original one! (Actually, her program is an old EXCEL program that I played with a few years ago), so it illustrates the second problem: small businesses do not have an open and inclusive corporate culture and do not provide employees with a channel to learn and improve. I didn't realize the outside world, and regarded an outdated basic office knowledge as a treasure.
I was busy processing materials that day. Female colleague B said: "Hey, hey, hey... you are going to do something with that thing." I ignored him at first and then said it again. She said, "Who,,, you didn't hear me?" I didn't say anything. Finally, she came over and said, "You didn't hear me." I suppressed my anger and said, "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were calling me." I She jokingly said: "Worker B, I thought your name was Worker Wei", but she was confused, and everyone said nothing. Colleague B looked at the customization, but B sighed and left, my God!
What kind of activities will the company hold in the afternoon when I go to work? C and D were discussing in the office, "Our YY company should just go bankrupt. It's so awkward to even sign a contract..." The result actually caused a scream. ABCD colleagues finally reached a consensus: "Let's go bankrupt." "Oh my God, how come the company has offended everyone? They are all receiving salary from the company, and they all hope that the company will go bankrupt!" There was no sense of gratitude at all. They spoke so openly, and I was surprised at how empty the employees felt!
After just three days of experience, what I saw and heard made me realize that I cannot stay any longer. If I stay there, I will not be happy but will also make others unhappy. At the time of publishing, I was already traveling and drinking tea locally. (I will share my travel articles with you next).
I didn’t know until the night when the news came back that there had been three new chief managers, and seven new ones in my department. What was the problem? Yuanfang, what do you think?
