Places to visit in Wuchang during National Day

I want to visit Wuhan on National Day. Wuchang District, one of the central urban areas of Wuhan, is bordered by the Yangtze River to the west and the East Lake to the east. How can it be so rare? What to do in Wuchang District? Where is it worth going? Where is the most fun place? It is enough to collect the following Wuchang travel guide.

First introduce the scenic spots in Wuchang:

The scenic spots in Wuchang can be divided into two areas: the area along the river and the area along the lake.

Along the lake:

One-day tour route reference:

1. Wuhan University-Hubei Provincial Museum-East Lake Tingtao Scenic Area-Chuhe Han Street.

2. Moshan Scenic Area (Sakura Garden and Botanical Garden) - Wuhan University - Hubei Provincial Museum - Chuhe Han Street.

Overview of East Lake:

East Lake is the pearl of Wuhan. Wuhan East Lake is the largest urban lake in China, with a water area of ??33 square kilometers. In 2013, it was upgraded to a 5A-level scenic spot. East Lake is divided into five scenic areas: Tingtao District, Moshan District, Luohong District (Wuda), Luoyan District, and Pipi District. The most tourists are concentrated in Tingtao and Moshan.

East Lake is really big and is divided into three parts by the middle of the lake, so at most one-third of East Lake can be seen from any corner of the lake. There are many former residences of celebrities around East Lake. The place where Mao Zedong lived the longest after liberation, apart from Zhongnanhai in Beijing, was East Lake in Wuhan.

East Lake is dominated by natural landscapes, and many parts of the scenic area will give people the impression that the level of development is very small. In fact, East Lake has indeed been listed as a prohibited development area by Hubei Province. As an urban lake, this is very rare in China.

: Introduction to scenic spots along the East Lake:

1. Wuhan University:

Wuhan National Day/National Day Travel Guide (the strongest and most complete version)

Centennial School, one of the four major universities in the Republic of China, is known as one of the most beautiful universities in China. 26 early buildings have been listed as national key cultural relics protection units. The cherry blossom avenue on campus is famous throughout the country. But April is the best time to see cherry blossoms. But the campus itself is a beautiful attraction. The campus architecture during the Republic of China is very distinctive. Go to Sakura Avenue to see the old shacks, and go to Sakura Peak to see the old library, which gives you a sense of historical vicissitudes. Looking around the campus and overlooking Luojia Mountain, you will feel that the campus is a large forest botanical garden. Now the headquarters has been integrated with the Information Department across the street to the south. The south gate of the Information Department has become the south gate of the entire Wuhan University. But the entrance from the original main entrance (i.e. the gate with archway) is still the most common. So when you go to Wuhan University, you can take bus No. 572 and get off at Luojia Mountain on Bayi Road, or you can take the subway and get off at Jiekou. Exit C or D, walk along Luoshi North Road for ten minutes to the gate. After visiting Wuhan University, you can exit from Lingbo Gate or the Polytechnic Gate, near East Lake in the north. At this time, you can take 402 or taxi to other attractions in East Lake. (During holidays, there will be many tourists in front of these two schools, making it difficult to get on the 402 bus and taxis). So you can also take a bus at Luojiashan Bus Station, which is located in the underground passage (take bus 413 to Moshan, take bus 552 to Tingtao and Shengbo)

2. Hubei Province Museum

Wuhan National Day/National Day Travel Guide (the strongest and most complete version)

One of the eight provincial museums in China. Closed every Monday, please note. Admission is free, but there may be queues on holidays. The entire museum is shaped like Chu Palace and is divided into several exhibition halls. The four major treasures of the town hall include: Yue Wang Gou Jian, Zeng Hou Yi's chimes, Yunxian human skull fossils, and the four great lovers' plum vases with blue and white flowers from the Yuan Dynasty. There are chime performances at 10:30, 11:30, 14:30, and 15:30 in the morning, and the fee is 15. There are many buses you can take at the entrance of Bomen: No. 14; No. 42; No. 41; No. 52; No. 78; No. 01; No. 09; No. 810. Next to Bo is the Provincial Art Museum, which is also free. There is a road between the two pavilions, leading to the East Lake Tingtao Scenic Area. Let's go ten minutes. There are some hotels and restaurants on Huangli Road opposite Bo Province, which can solve the problem of eating. There is an underground passage across the road at the entrance of the museum.

3. Tingtao Scenic Area

Entrance: Huangli Road between the Provincial Museum and the Provincial Art Museum (terminal of Route 711 and Route 14), exit: Liyuan Square. Of course, you can go back the same way. Many TV series such as "Snail House" were filmed here. From south to north are the former residence of Mao Zedong, Qu Yuan Memorial Hall in Zigui County, Xingyin Pavilion, Bitan Fish Pond, Exotic Garden (some simple recreational facilities), and East Lake Ocean World (ticket 80, this attraction is optional). It is worth noting that the Exotic Garden is holding a large-scale light show until April 20. If you want to go in at night (I don’t know if you want to go in during the day), you have to pay an additional 50 yuan for admission, half price with student ID card. If you live near Tingtao Scenic Area, it is still very beautiful to watch the lantern show at night. I think it is as good as the Lantern Festival Lantern Festival I saw on the Ancheng Tower in Xi'an, and the lantern festival on the lake has more characteristics of Wuhan. Liyuan Square is the terminus of several bus lines. You can go to Chuhe Han Street and the Red Building of the Cavalry Training Ground. There is also a No. 402 bus stop on Donghu Road near Liyuan, which can go to Wuhan University. Near Liyuan Square is the Birdsong Forest of East Lake, which can be used as an alternative attraction for those who like birds. Tickets for 20 students are half price.
