Legal basis: Article 54 of the Regulations on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of the Elderly in Chongqing enjoys the following cultural, sports, entertainment and leisure benefits in this city: (1) Enjoy priority services in public cultural places such as free public libraries, cultural centers, museums, memorial halls and art galleries. In public cultural places where fees are charged, the elderly over 65 are free to buy tickets, and the elderly under 65 are encouraged to buy tickets at half price. (2) In parks and tourist attractions, elderly people over 65 buy tickets free of charge, and elderly people under 65 buy tickets at half price. Encourage scenic elevators, sightseeing bus, cable cars, ropeways and other means of transportation to implement fare concessions for the elderly, and encourage qualified parks and tourist attractions to implement free tickets for the elderly under the age of 65; (3) All kinds of venues for activities for the elderly invested by the government or collectively are open to the elderly free of charge, and cultural and sports institutions for business are encouraged to provide preferential fares and venues for cultural and sports groups for the elderly; (four) the cultural department shall organize mass cultural workers to guide the elderly to carry out cultural and recreational activities free of charge, and the sports department shall organize social sports instructors to guide the elderly to carry out physical fitness activities free of charge. The financial department shall arrange appropriate funds to carry out recreational activities for the elderly.
