In the Song Dynasty, it was called Qilishan Longtang, in the Yuan Dynasty, Jiaxianhou Temple, and in the Ming Dynasty, it was called Zushi Temple. According to legend, the second generation Emperor Jianwen of the Ming Dynasty moved to Wuduoshan Temple to become a monk after his downfall in the Jingkang Revolution. The people called him the ancestor, and Zhang Sanfeng, a Taoist priest in Tianbao, helped him to promote Taoism, which made him famous.
Since then, its mountain has been called Beiding, also known as Zushiding and Jinding. Later, Emperor Jianwen and Zhang Sanfeng went south to Wudang Mountain to build a temple, which was called Nanding. The incense in the two places was as grand as that in the distance. Since the Ming Dynasty, facing the north and facing the south has become an important ritual activity in the Central Plains and Jianghan area.
