Where did Jinxiang people in Cangnan, Wenzhou migrate ~ ~ ~ Where is their ancestral home?
During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Jinxiang was one of the many military guards established by the imperial court along the coast, with a city wall. Qi Jiguang sent Qigujun to Jinxiang Acropolis, and all the residents in the city moved out and settled in Ming army. After the Japanese invaders in Zhejiang were basically wiped out, this part of the Qijiajun was ordered to settle in Jinxiang, marry and have children, and work hard to become the ancestors of Jinxiang people now. Because these sergeants are originally from northern Zhejiang (Jinhua, Yiwu), the dialect they speak belongs to northern Wu dialect, and their residence is quite concentrated. Therefore, despite hundreds of years, the language used by Jinxiang residents still maintains the characteristics of northern Wu dialect. The present Jinxiang dialect system is actually a combination of northern Wu dialect, official dialect and Cangnan dialect, which was once used by officers and men stationed in Qijiajun.
