There are only three travel agencies in Tibet that can organize tours to Nepal, namely Tibet Sheng Di Co., Ltd., Tibet International Travel Service and Tibet Shannan International Travel Service. They can handle all the formalities.

After that, visitors need to apply for a visa. At present, Nepal has two consulates in China, one in Beijing and the other in Lhasa. It is convenient and simple to apply for a Nepalese visa in Lhasa, as long as the formalities on the spot meet the requirements. Information required for Nepal visa: original passport, two 2-inch color standard recent photos, visa-free fee. However, the working hours of visa officers are from 10 am to 12: 30 am from Monday to Friday, and rest at other times. Therefore, if you want to apply for a Nepalese visa, you must reserve a few more days in Lhasa. It is safer to apply for a visa as soon as you arrive in Lhasa.

The required materials are: original passport, 4 recent photos with 2-inch color code, household registration book and copy of ID card.
