Nepal visa

First of all, tourists should apply for passports in advance. According to Tsering Dorje of the Administration of Foreign Exchange of the Public Security Department of Xizang Autonomous Region, mainland tourists should apply for passports at the registration office of the public security department where their household registration is located, while Tibet is not responsible for foreign tourists' passports. In addition, tourists in the region should apply to the accreditation office of the public security bureau where their household registration is located. Applicants are required to bring household registration book, two-inch color photo, ID card and 200 yuan production fee (Nepalese invitation letter is also required for visiting relatives). After submitting the application, fill in the relevant forms, and after being stamped by the company, you can get your passport after about 2 or 3 days of examination. In addition, because most tourists can't have invitations, they can go through the relevant procedures through travel agencies. There are only three travel agencies in Tibet that can organize tours to Nepal, namely Tibet Sheng Di Co., Ltd., Tibet International Travel Service and Tibet Shannan International Travel Service. They can handle all the formalities.

After that, visitors need to apply for a visa. At present, Nepal has two consulates in China, one in Beijing and the other in Lhasa. It is convenient and simple to apply for a Nepalese visa in Lhasa, as long as the formalities on the spot meet the requirements. Information required for Nepal visa: original passport, two 2-inch color standard recent photos, visa-free fee. However, the working hours of visa officers are from 10 am to 12: 30 am from Monday to Friday, and rest at other times. Therefore, if you want to apply for a Nepalese visa, you must reserve a few more days in Lhasa. It is safer to apply for a visa as soon as you arrive in Lhasa.

In addition, if it is not convenient for tourists to go through the formalities in person, they can also help through Tibet Travel Agency. The required materials are: original passport, 4 recent photos with 2-inch color code, household registration book and copy of ID card. At least one week in advance, the agency fee is 40 yuan per person, which can guarantee to pick up the parts within 7 working days after receiving all the materials.
