Three must-see attractions in Luoyang

The three scenic spots that Luoyang must visit are Longmen Grottoes, Laojun Mountain-Jiguandong Tourist Area and Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area.

1, Longmen Grottoes-World Cultural Heritage, a 5A-level scenic spot. Longmen Grottoes, located in the southern suburb of Luoyang, is one of the three largest grottoes in China. The scenery here is beautiful, Yishui slowly flows northward, and the green hills on both sides of the strait confront each other. There are tens of thousands of Buddha statues carved in the grottoes, which have different shapes and are lifelike, showing the superb level of ancient carving art in China.

2. Laojun Mountain-Jiguandong Tourist Area-National Nature Reserve and 5A scenic spot. Laojun Mountain, located in Luanchuan County, Luoyang City, is one of the holy places of Taoism. The ancient trees on the mountain are towering and misty, just like a fairyland. Jiguan Cave is a large limestone cave with many stalactites, which is unique and beautiful.

3. Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area-National Forest Park and World Geopark. Baiyun Mountain, located in Songxian County, Luoyang City, is a national forest park and geological park. Here, the mountains are stacked, the trees are lush and the waterfalls and springs are picturesque. Climb to the top of the mountain and overlook the magnificent scenery of Luoyang city.
