Can I pass the Hong Kong and Macau Pass group travel L visa independently?

Hong Kong and Macau group travel L visas can be passed through customs independently, and there is no need to purchase customs clearance services.

On January 27, 2017, Luohu Port officially opened the "Special Area for Self-service Inspection for Group Tours" to inspect and release outbound passengers in groups. "L visa" can also be cleared through customs by yourself. Passengers aged 7 and above holding a card-type electronic travel permit to and from Hong Kong and Macao can use the self-service channel to clear customs.

Validity period for travel permit to and from Hong Kong and Macao:

There are six types of endorsements for mainland residents to travel to and from Hong Kong and Macao, namely individual travel (G), family visit (T), business (S), and group travel (L), other (Q), and stay (D) are issued according to the application reasons.

The validity periods of Hong Kong G visa and L visa are: once in 3 months, twice in 3 months, once in a year, and twice in a year. Macau visa can only be applied for once every three months and once a year. The endorsement stipulates that each stay in Hong Kong or Macau shall not exceed 7 days, and one entry and one exit will be counted.
