Ganzhou is the largest administrative region in Jiangxi Province. It is located in the south of Jiangxi and the upper reaches of the Gan River, referred to as Gannan. Yugu Terrace was first built with a history of at least more than 1,200 years. The current platform was completed in September 1984. Shu Tong, a famous calligrapher and former honorary chairman of the National Calligraphy Association, inscribed the platform. Yugu Terrace is a major scenic spot in Ganzhou. Wen Tianxiang, Su Dongpo, Xin Qiji, Guo Moruo and other literati from past dynasties visited it and wrote poems. When we enter Yugu Terrace, we can see those inscriptions.
