Shennongjia travel guide

Shennongjia is so beautiful that you must come once when you have time. Please accept this little guide first!

Shennongjia, as the roof of Central China, is full of mystery, dense forest and distinct seasons. Here, with majestic peaks, sweet springs and wonderful scenery, it is known as "green treasure house" and "natural zoo".

entrance ticket

The joint ticket is 299/ person, including six scenic spots (Shennongding 130, Dajiuhu 100, Guanmenshan 95, Shennongtan 55, Tianshengqiao 55 and Tianyan 45), and you can enter the park repeatedly within 5 days. Dajiu Lake needs to buy additional transportation (bus+small train).

Shennongjia airport, from where you can take a bus directly to the scenic spot, about 50 minutes.

high-speed railway

Get off at Xingshan Station and take about 1.5 hours to Muyu Town, which is much closer than Shennongjia Station. It is recommended to organize a chartered car upon arrival. The scenic spots are large and the distance is long, so it is difficult to move without a car.

be self-drive

Just follow the navigation. Be sure to pay attention to safety along the narrow winding mountain road. Novice drivers are not recommended to drive.

Brief introduction of six scenic spots in Shennongjia

1, Dajiu Lake? Tickets 100, and the transportation in the park is 70 (including the scenic bus+small train).

The early morning mist flows slowly in the air. Fishing boats' houses and clear water and green hills are like a flowing picture scroll, looming in the light fog. Beauty is like a dream, just like a fairyland. The small train in the scenic spot shuttles between lakes and can stop at every stop.

2. Shennongding? Tickets 130

The highest peak of Shennongding National Nature Reserve is 3105m above sea level. Known as "the roof of Central China" and "the first peak in Central China". Here is a treasure house of green, with alpine meadows stretching for thousands of miles, and the scenery is not lost to Xinjiang and Tibet.

3. Tian Yan? Tickets 45

The core attractions of Shennongjia Forest Park are Rainbow Bridge, starry sky camp, virgin forest and the wonders of the sea of clouds. A mysterious mountain forest with strange trees, peaks, flowers, caves and folk customs.

4. Tiansheng Bridge? Tickets 55

There are grotesque caves, grotesque bridges, grotesque scenery, grotesque ponds, rocks, waterfalls, natural stone bridges and stone plank roads, which integrate geology, landforms, glaciers, ecology and humanities, and are known as "Shangri-La in the depths of Taihang Mountain".

5. Guanmen Mountain? Tickets 95

Rich in species, surrounded by deep valleys and dangerous mountains, it is a natural exhibition hall integrating geology, biology, folk customs and exhibitions, and a paradise for biogeographers.

6. Shennong altar? Tickets 55

It shows the achievements and merits of the ancestors of Shennong, including the Millennium shirt king, the ancient botanical garden and the tall and majestic Shennong altar, which is very shocking.

Play suggestion:

Dajiu Lake: 3h. A little thunder and little rain, like a lake, and the deer is too dirty to drive.

Shennongding: 3h. Favorite! The clouds in the sky are taken casually, and there are many small scenic spots along the way.

Tianshengqiao:1h. Water is super beautiful! Walking circular route

Shennongtan:1h. Pure steps, a place to worship heaven, punching the fir king halfway.

Guanmenshan: 1.5h Everyone is looking forward to the giant panda, so we must go in the morning and have a lunch break for 3 hours at noon.

Tian Yan: 2 hours. Punch in at Rainbow Bridge and watch the sunset, which is beautiful in the sea of clouds.

Tips for short trips:

Clothing: Shennongjia has a large temperature difference between day and night, so you can bring thicker clothes.

Shoes: Sports shoes/walking shoes are recommended. There are many plank roads in the scenic spot, so you need to see the scenery while walking.

Rain gear: carrying rain gear, Shennongjia has a special geographical environment, a three-dimensional microclimate and rapid weather changes.

Others: the scenic spot is vast and sparsely populated, and there are few places to provide food. It is recommended to bring your own food and water.
