Mentougou: Explore the travel mode of Shuanglong Gorge

According to the established plan, we will go to Ximentougou in Beijing this weekend. After Fushi Road on the Fifth Ring Road, drive west to Jinglan Road. After the Danli tunnel, turn right and go straight for 4 kilometers. Then you will see the road sign and walk in the direction of Wang Ping. After crossing the Dongfanghong Tunnel, go straight for four or five kilometers, and a road sign will appear beside the bridge. Go in the direction of Hebei Go straight for about 5 kilometers, and you will pass Yanchi Railway Station. A suspension bridge nearby is quite quaint and worth a rest. Arrive at Qinyukou checkpoint after 5 kilometers. At this time, turn left and go straight for a few kilometers, and you will see one scenic spot after another along the way.

We have entered a new scenic spot called Shuanglong Gorge. What is more distinctive here is the forest train entering the mountain, which takes 1 minutes one way. This kind of small train is not unusual in Disneyland, but it suddenly appeared in the depths of this forest, which made people surprised.

But the spring here is a bit strange, lacking the green background, but there are patches of apricot and peach trees blooming collectively. In the season when spring has not completely penetrated, this sea of flowers has given us great joy. Unfortunately, the color and pattern are too single. Although the pale white apricot flowers are spectacular, they lack some colorful flavors. This road often surprises one or two bright wildflowers that suddenly appear on the high slopes of the roadside. I wonder if there will be a scene of blooming flowers.

Just when we lamented that spring in the mountains was not so colorful, we accidentally found an ice waterfall as high as 3 meters. It is said that there are two waterfalls over 29 meters in Shuanglong Gorge, and there are nearly a hundred waterfalls several meters high.

Mountain roads are not particularly easy to walk, and there is a big gap in many places. It will be difficult for the elderly to climb mountains. Fortunately, there are clear springs on both sides of the mountain road, and sometimes ancient willows, vines and ancient trees are intertwined. Presumably, it will become a charming and quiet place in midsummer.

I was out of breath when I went down the hill. Think about today, it should be a leisure time to enjoy flowers, but I didn't expect to walk the mountain road exhausted in the end. When resting by the lake, my heart is bright. Sometimes, happiness is really like a flower, which blooms and falls. If you are a conscientious person, you will naturally find many beautiful scenery along the way.

Travel tips:

The highest elevation of the Double Gorge in Laolongwo is 1646 meters. It takes 4 hours to climb from the bottom of the mountain, and there is no accommodation capacity at the top of the mountain. Therefore, if it is a one-day tour, it is better to start from the urban area as soon as possible. As this scenic spot is newly developed, various supporting facilities have not fully kept up. For example, the canteen that I finally saw on the mountain has not yet opened, and all kinds of materials need to be carried by myself; If you have two free days, you can rush to Yaodi and Baihua Mountain the next day, and the supporting facilities of the old scenic spots will be more mature.

Tickets for Shuanglongxia Scenic Spot in 6 yuan (it is said that it will be implemented after May) include sightseeing train, sand skiing, grass skiing, boating and mountain tour.

diet: back to the salt pond. There is a clean Shan Ye restaurant near Qinyukou checkpoint. I recommend the fried shrimp in the river over there, which is small and fragrant, cold with western dishes and pure in taste. It is said that the shrimp on the table was caught from the river behind the restaurant, and the food was just picked, which made people have an appetite. However, this price is not fair. Any stewed river fish is above 4 yuan.
