Is Suzhou the capital?

Suzhou is not a provincial capital city.

Suzhou is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, located in the middle of the Yangtze River Delta and the southeast of Jiangsu Province. It is located at11955' ~12120' east longitude and 30 47' ~ 32 02' north latitude, bordering Shanghai in the east, Zhejiang in the south and Taihu Lake in the west.

The city is low-lying, with many rivers and lakes. Most of the surface of Taihu Lake is in Suzhou, and the area of rivers, lakes and beaches accounts for 36.6% of the city's land area. This is a famous Jiangnan water town.

Suzhou tourist attractions

Suzhou is a national key tourist city. Pingjiang and Shantang Historic District were rated as China Historic and Cultural District and China's most popular tourist historic and cultural district respectively. There are 108 gardens in Suzhou urban area, which are listed in Suzhou Garden List.

Nine classical gardens, such as Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, Master of Nets Garden, Huanxiu Mountain Villa, Canglang Pavilion, Lion Forest, Art Garden, Lovers Garden and Retreat Garden, have been listed in the World Cultural Heritage List by the United Nations. Tiger Hill, Panmen, Lingyan Mountain, Tianping Mountain and Yushan Mountain are all famous scenic spots. Most of the scenic spots in Taihu Lake are located in Suzhou.
