Where is the Wind TV series free to play
"Go Where the Wind Is" will be broadcast for free on Mango TV on January 3, 2023.
Many viewers’ intuitive impression of “The Wind” is that China finally has its own “pastoral healing drama.” However, there are also negative opinions ridiculing that this is just a "Vlog drama", "slow variety drama" or simply an "MV drama" from Xu Hongdou's perspective (the frequency of background music in the drama is indeed much higher than that of ordinary TV dramas).
The audience's "enthusiasm for naming" the type of play shows that this play is different from the norm and has its own unique narrative and expression method.
The emergence of this new method is almost inevitable. In recent years, healing movies/two-dimensional culture have become popular among young people, and travel slow life variety shows, healing short videos, etc. have broken through the circle and attracted national attention. The narrative rhythm and consumption habits created by these cultural products may explicitly or implicitly affect the current TV drama creation.
From the perspective of the social environment, the restricted mobility of life under the three-year epidemic has caused the demand for travel to continue to accumulate under pressure. Even the niche genre of travel literature has begun to become popular in the book market. "The Wind" follows the trend, integrates various needs and methods, and presents a hybrid feature.
Story details:
Specifically, "The Wind" tells the story of a young drifter from Beijing who went to Yunnan to obtain healing. Hotel manager Xu Hongdou (played by Liu Yifei) was hit hard by the sudden death of her best friend Chen Nanxing (played by Wu Qian). As a result, she reflected on the meaning of life and decided to temporarily put everything aside and travel to Yunnan, which her best friend longed for during her lifetime.
She rented a small courtyard in Yunmiao Village for a short period of time and was deeply affected by the local beauty, food, customs and people. She also fell in love with Xie Zhiyao (played by Li Xian) who returned to her hometown to start a business, and finally won Healed and decided to stay and restart his life.
