Chongqing to Bashang Grassland

"Bashang" refers to the sudden uplift between the plain and the plateau. The terrain is like a dam and is located at the junction of Hebei and Inner Mongolia.

The Bashang area is very large, covering 5,000 square kilometers. It is impossible and unnecessary to visit all of it. We mainly visit Mulan Paddock, Saihanba National Forest Park, Yudaokou Grassland Forest Scenic Area and Red Mountain. Songwa National Nature Reserve and so on.

1. Route: Take train or plane from Chongqing to Beijing, then take the train to Siheyong. There are 7 trains from Beijing passing through Siheyong every day, including 3 trains from Beijing North Railway Station, 1 train from Beijing Railway Station, and 3 trains passing through Beijing North Railway Station. Beijing to Siheyong is 335 kilometers, about 6 or 7 hours.

2. After exiting Siheyong Station, look for the reception station at Hongshan Military Racecourse near the station. If you stay at the military horse farm guest house, they will have a car to take you there.

3. The grassland is a big place, so you must have a car when going out. There are off-road vehicles at the Hongshan Military Horse Farm to various scenic spots. The driver is very familiar with where there are good scenery and where the photos taken have won photography awards.

4. The tourism conditions in Bashang are relatively poor, the various facilities are not ideal, and the services are not in place. You must be mentally prepared

5. The tour is suitable for 3 or 4 days. On the way back, you can visit Chengde Summer Resort and the Eight Wai Temples for 1 or 2 days. It is very convenient to get from Chengde to Beijing, as there are trains, cars (expressways).
