The Best Mountaineering Route in Huashan Mountain: Necessary Equipment for Mountaineering in Huashan Mountain
There are five peaks in Huashan Mountain, including east, south, west, north and middle. Except Beifeng and Xifeng, which have ropeways, all other peaks need to walk. There are many ways to climb mountains. You can hike up the mountain from "Guhuashan Road" or "Wish Huashan Road". You can also go up the mountain through the cableway of Beifeng or Xifeng, and go down the mountain in the same way. In addition, Huashan has some very popular high-altitude challenges, such as "plank road in the air" and "kite turning over". The queue time is about 2 hours on weekdays, and there are many people on holidays, so there is not enough time to play in one day. Huashan tickets are valid within 48 hours. If you have time, I suggest playing for 2 days. If there is only one day, you have to make a choice.
Below, I recommend six optimized climbing routes for different groups of people:
1, route 1: Two-day tour of Huashan (full walk)
Specific route:
Day 1: A road from Guhuashan (hiking up the mountain)-Beifeng-Nanfeng (plank road in the air)-Xifeng (sunset)-Dongfeng (starry sky) and Dongfeng (camping or staying in a hotel).
The next day: Dongfeng (sunrise, kite turning over)-Zhongfeng (ladder)-Beifeng-Guhuashan Road or Zhi Zhi Huashan Road (walking down the mountain).
Suitable for the crowd: free travel, strong donkey, two days, want to play Huashan thoroughly, want to measure Huashan with your feet.
2. Route 2: Two-day tour of Huashan Mountain (hiking up the mountain and cableway down the mountain)
Specific route:
Day 1: A road from Guhuashan (hiking up the mountain)-Beifeng-Nanfeng (plank road in the air)-Xifeng (sunset)-Dongfeng (starry sky) and Dongfeng (camping or staying in a hotel).
The next day: Dongfeng (sunrise, kite turning over)-Zhongfeng (ladder)-Xifeng (Taihua cableway descending)
Suitable for the crowd: free travellers, tourists with good physical strength, have 2 days to fully enjoy Huashan Mountain. They don't want to miss the beautiful scenery and the challenge of hiking up the mountain, but also want to enjoy the ease of going down the mountain by Xifeng cableway.
3. Route 3: Climb Huashan Mountain at night
Specific route: Huashan Ancient Road (hiking up the mountain)-Beifeng-Dongfeng (watching the sunrise, the kite turns over)-Nanfeng (aerial plank road)-Xifeng-Beifeng-Huashan Ancient Road might as well Huashan Road (hiking down the mountain).
Suitable for the crowd: free travel, strong donkey, want to challenge yourself, don't mind not seeing the beautiful scenery on the mountaineering road.
Note: From Yuquanyuan to Dongfeng Sunrise Observation Deck, the donkey is strong for 5 hours, and its physical strength is generally 7 hours. If you don't want to go downhill on foot, you can go downhill from Xifeng cableway. Note that the last descent of the ropeway is 19:00.
4. Route 4: Climb Huashan Mountain (hiking up the mountain, cableway down the mountain)
Specific route: Guhuashan (hiking up the mountain)-Beifeng-Zhongfeng-Dongfeng-Nanfeng-Xifeng (Taihua cableway down the mountain). If time is too late or physical strength is too weak, you can give up Zhongfeng and Dongfeng halfway and go directly from Beifeng to Nanfeng.
For the crowd: free travellers, with certain physical strength, can hike up the mountain, but time is limited and they need to go back and forth on the same day.
5. Route 5: Cableway route-upper west and lower north.
Specific route: Taihua cableway up the mountain-Xifeng-Nanfeng-Zhongfeng-Dongfeng-Beifeng-Sante cableway down the mountain. If time is too late or physical strength is too weak, you can give up Zhongfeng and Dongfeng halfway and go directly from Nanfeng to Beifeng.
For the crowd: group tourists, freelancers with poor physical strength, and the elderly, this route is basically downhill, which is the most labor-saving, but it has a certain impact on the knees.
6. Route 6: Cableway route-north and west.
Specific route: Sante cableway goes up the mountain-Beifeng-Zhongfeng-Dongfeng-Nanfeng-Xifeng-Taihua cableway goes down the mountain. If time is too late or physical strength is too weak, you can give up Zhongfeng and Dongfeng halfway and go directly from Beifeng to Nanfeng.
Suitable for people: group tourists, freelancers with poor physical strength, and elderly people who can walk uphill. It takes some physical strength to climb from the northern peak to other peaks, but the pressure on the knees will be less than that on the downhill.
Of course, Huashan has other routes, such as west to west and north to north. But they need to take a repeated route, which is not the best route, so I don't recommend it.
1. clothes: wear quick-drying t-shirts and quick-drying pants in summer; In winter, the upper body adopts outdoor traditional three-layer dressing method, wearing sweat-wicking and quick-drying thermal underwear, the middle thermal layer is fleece, the outermost protective layer is jacket, and the lower body is wearing sweat-wicking and quick-drying thermal autumn pants and jacket. During climbing, you will sweat a lot. Pure cotton clothes don't dry easily when wet. Sticking to your body will quickly take away your body temperature. The wind at the top of the mountain is very strong and small. Wearing wet clothes and letting the wind blow are particularly easy to cause temperature loss. If we wear inappropriate clothes, we will lose temperature even in summer, so we must wear close-fitting quick-drying clothes when we are outdoors. Pure cotton clothes are taboo. The thermal performance of polar fleece is not as good as that of down jacket, but once the down jacket is soaked with sweat, its thermal performance will be greatly reduced, and the good perspiration function of polar fleece keeps it warm at all times. Waterproof coat and trousers can resist moderate rain, and with waterproof hiking shoes, you can completely avoid rain gear. Every time the altitude rises 1000m, the temperature drops by 6 degrees. The temperature at the top of Huashan Mountain is lower than that at the foot of the mountain 10- 12 degrees, and there are strong wind thieves. It will be cold to watch the sunrise at the top of the mountain. It is recommended to bring your own down jacket and put it on when watching the sunrise. Anyone who rents a military coat on the top of the mountain can rent it without wearing thick clothes. Don't be reluctant to spend money to freeze yourself sick.
2. Footwear and socks: hiking shoes or sports shoes. I'm wearing Iowa high-top hiking shoes. In fact, as long as it doesn't rain, ordinary sneakers are enough for the stairs of Huashan, a scenic spot. If it rains, the waterproof uppers and non-slip soles of hiking shoes will be reflected. It is recommended to wear hiking socks to keep warm, sweat and dry quickly. If you don't have hiking socks, you can exercise cotton socks.
3. Mountaineering bag: 20-30 liters. Hiking bags have better carrying system and functionality than ordinary backpacks. The belt can share 70% of the weight of the backpack, effectively relieving the shoulder pressure. The shoulder strap and belt are buckled at the same time, which can increase the stability of the backpack. The quick suspension system allows you to get commonly used items quickly.
4. Gloves: Gloves are essential when climbing Huashan Mountain, whether it's grasping chains or a "four-wheel drive" with both hands and feet like me. I wear professional mountaineering gloves, and the palm is designed with anti-slip function. There are many elder sisters selling gloves at the entrance of Huashan, including 2 yuan's work gloves and 5 yuan's climbing gloves. The price is reasonable.
5. Magic headscarf: multifunctional outdoor products. I usually use it as a scarf and mask when hiking in winter. When climbing the second peak of Siguniang Mountain, I tied a ponytail with it. This time I climbed Huashan Mountain, I wrapped it around my wrist to wipe my sweat.
6. Knee pads: Huashan is basically a step road, which consumes a lot of knees. Knee pads can give better support to the knees, especially when going downhill. I didn't bring my knee pads this time. As a result, the pain in my right knee bothered me all the way up the mountain.
7. Headlights: Mainly for tourists who climb mountains at night. The advantage of headlights over flashlights is that they can free your hands. Like many places in Huashan Mountain, you need both hands and feet to climb it.
8. Rain gear: If you don't have a coat, it's best to have a disposable raincoat for mountain climbing in summer. The weather in the mountains is cloudy and sunny. It is not recommended to bring an umbrella. There is no umbrella in hand when climbing the mountain, and it is very heavy, occupying the space of the backpack.
9. Sunscreen products: The sunshine in Huashan is very strong, and there is no shade in many places. It is important to apply sunscreen before going out. Sunglasses and sun hats can be prepared according to personal preference.
10. food and water: food is mainly small and light high-calorie food, such as bread, chocolate, snickers, beef jerky, nuts, sugar, etc. On the way to climb the mountain, I saw many people eating self-heating rice and eight-treasure porridge. I strongly object to taking these two things because they are too heavy. In the process of climbing the mountain, we must reduce the load. 2 bottles of mineral water per person, and the rest of the mountain can be bought. On the hiking road, 3 bottles 10 yuan,
(1) High-speed train: There are several high-speed trains from Xi 'an North Station to Huashan North Station every day, which takes 30 to 40 minutes by car. The second-class ticket price is 54.5 yuan, and the first-class ticket price is 89.5 yuan. Tickets for the holiday are very tight, so you must book them in advance. Huashan North Station is about 5 kilometers away from Huashan, and there are free buses 1 2, which can reach Huashan Tourist Center (Ecological Square). During the peak passenger flow, the carriages will be crowded, but the journey is very short, and it will take more than ten minutes. There are many local private car drivers at the bus station. Generally, 30 yuan goes to the tourist center. If you have big luggage or are in a hurry, you can consider taking a bus. We must discuss the price first.
(2) Long-distance bus: There is a long-distance bus to Huayin at Xi 'an East Bus Station (subway 1 Line Textile City Station). The first bus leaves at 7:00, and the last bus 19: 15 runs every 15 minutes, with a running time of about 2 hours. On the way, I will stop at Huashan and get off at the mountain climbing place. On the bus, tell the driver to get off at Huashan.
(3) Car ferry, scenic spot: free ride by ticket. After buying tickets in the visitor center, the hikers walk to the No.2 parking lot and take a free bus ferry to Yuquan Garden (Xishan Gate). Xishanmen also has a ticket window, which is open 24 hours a day, mainly for the convenience of tourists climbing mountains at night, or you can buy tickets directly there.
(4) Tourist shuttle bus: Visitors who take the cable car up the mountain need to take the tourist shuttle bus to the entrance of the cable car. This bus is charged. Huang Fuyu special line car (visitor center-Beifeng cableway) 20 yuan/person, Weng Yu special line car (visitor center-Xifeng cableway) 40/ person.
2. Tickets: peak season (March1-165438+1end of October): 180 yuan/person; Low season (65438+February 1 to the end of February of the following year): 100 yuan/person. Tickets for Huashan Mountain are valid within 48 hours, including ferry fares from Xiyue Temple Scenic Area, Xianyu Scenic Area and Visitor Center to various scenic spots, but excluding Huangfugu and Wengyu tourist routes. You need fingerprints when you sign in.
3. Cableway ticket: East Cableway (Beifeng Cableway) one-way 80 yuan, West Cableway (Xifeng Cableway) round trip 140 yuan/person.
