Great changes have taken place in the islands of the South China Sea, and the United States has called it impossible. Is this to build a maritime city?

According to the data analysis, there are more than 200 islands, reefs and beaches in the South China Sea of China, which are divided into four groups according to their locations, namely, dongsha islands, Xisha Islands, zhongsha islands and Nansha Islands. The total water area of this island is 823,000 square kilometers, but it is scattered. In recent years, many land reclamation projects have been carried out in the South China Sea Islands, and Meiji Island is one of the prospects. Meiji Island was originally named mischief reef. If Meiji Island is suitable for reclamation pavement because of its natural standards, it will be even more magnificent on another island in China, which is in the most important development strategic position of the South China Sea Islands, namely Xuande Islands.

American satellites have secretly monitored the Xuande Islands and found that the island is changing at an alarming rate. Xuande Islands is dominated by Xuande Atoll, including Yongxing Island, Qilianyu, Xuande Atoll, Li Yin Beach and its undercurrent. Among them, Qilianyu consists of seven islands and reefs, which are closely connected like natural pearls, especially suitable for land reclamation.

As early as 20 14 of Yongxing Island, Sansha City had already made preparations in advance to connect the three islands and reefs of Qilian Island in North China and Central China to cope with the urban problems between the islands and reefs. According to the newly exposed high-definition satellite images in February last year, North Island and Middle Island have already established contact. At this stage, China has planned to connect all the islands and reefs of Qilianyu, so as to expand the land area from 1.32 square kilometers to 15 square kilometers. After the land reclamation project is carried out, the business scale of Qilianyu will exceed Yongxing Island, the city where the government department of Sansha City is located.

Yongxing Island is the economic development, national defense and political center of the three southwest islands, which is located on the edge of Qilianyu. The island is an oval coral island, which is deposited by coral reef pearl oyster on the reef service platform.

It is also the largest island in the Xisha Islands at this stage. Yongxing Island has established the Sansha Municipal People's Government and many higher-level leading institutions, as well as several daily life service facilities such as government buildings, colleges, financial institutions and hospitals and clinics. It is a well-deserved island new city. However, Yongxing Island, like Hong Kong and Macao, also has the anxiety of soil resources, and Qilianyu on the side may be connected between them in the future.

According to the new master plan, Qilianyu will build an airstrip with a length of 3,500 meters in the future, and a seaport will be opened in the south to share data with Yongxing Island. In addition, a submarine tunnel of tens of kilometers will be basically built between the two islands, and Qilianyu will be built as a subsidiary tourist attraction of Yongxing Island.

In fact, since the opening of Sansha City in the East China Sea, the infrastructure of people's livelihood projects in Qilianyu has been gradually improved, and the landscaping measures have been continuously improved, gradually turning the island into a green state. Jinshazhou in Qilianyu is a vacant coral island, which is mainly composed of Baisha Town, gravel and coral reef gravel. It looks like a desolate desert. After many landscaping projects, it has gradually changed color.

Zhaoshu Island, the third largest island in Qilianyu, has been fully built. Zhaoshu Island is 600 meters long and 300 meters wide, with a total area of 0.22 square kilometers. The construction team paved a road around the island, with a length of 1.6 km and a width of about 3 meters. The roads are still paved on both sides of the road. In order to better maintain the natural environment of Zhaoshu Island, even the raw materials for road construction are honeycomb stones and roadside stones.

Before Zhaoshudao, due to the lack of hydropower projects, it was very troublesome for fishermen to work and settle down. For this matter, the government department of Sansha City basically built a seawater desalination equipment factory and two generator sets with 24-hour power supply system here. Now fishermen have no problem even if they settle here for a few months.

However, Qilianyu still faces a big problem. There is no obvious seasonal difference in high temperature all the year round. Sometimes the destructive temperature is high, sometimes the drought, sometimes the rainstorm, and the hurricane waves caused by tropical cyclones and strong typhoons are very harmful to some sandbars, and even all sandbars can be demolished.

Some researchers supervised the sandbars here. After several strong typhoons, several sandbanks immediately subsided, and another part of the surrounding area grew newer sandbanks, which is one of the key reasons for China's sand blowing and reclamation in Qilianyu. In the future, all the islands and reefs of Qilianyu will be connected by sandbars, forming a fixed island, and Yongxing Island is located at home and abroad.

Qilianyu is short of water, so it can be transported from Yongxing Island immediately, and even a water supply pipeline can be created between the two islands to ensure drinking water for Qilianyu. Qilianyu is also rich in natural resources of fish. According to the investigation, there are not only more than 100 species of zooplankton in the waters near Qilianyu, but also more than 400 well-known and economically developed species. You can often see bluefin tuna, stickleback and butterfly fish. There are all kinds of precious big conchs within five meters of the reef, and even crayfish can often be seen. Are you interested?

Vietnam and other countries are particularly envious of China's land reclamation plan, and are also thinking about building some islands. As a result, due to technical problems, they failed from beginning to end.

Many people are worried that land reclamation will affect the economic development of China, but this will not happen, because China's land reclamation plan is particularly rational, and its economic value and construction cost will be fully considered, and it will not affect the development of other regions.
