In November last year, cross-border self-driving tours were implemented from Dongxing Port in Guangxi to Mong Cai, Vietnam. So far, more than 200 vehicles from China and Vietnam have participated in cross-border self-driving tours. In January this year, the China-Vietnam “Two Two Countries and Four Places” golden tourism route was launched in Dongxing, further expanding cross-border tourism routes.

This year, the number of Chinese tourists traveling to Vietnam has grown rapidly. According to data from the General Bureau of Statistics of Vietnam, in the first seven months of this year, 2.2 million Chinese tourists visited Vietnam, a year-on-year increase of 51%. Nguyen Thai Son, Consul of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Nanning, said in an interview recently that Vietnam and China are geographically close and culturally close. The long-standing friendship between the two countries has helped the two sides achieve good results in cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade, culture, and tourism. Especially in terms of tourism, the people of China and Vietnam have frequently interacted with each other in recent years, and the number of mutual visits by tourists has increased year by year. In recent years, with the promotion of the China-ASEAN Expo and tourism exhibitions in various places, more and more Chinese tourists have traveled to Hanoi, Halong Bay, Nha Trang and other places in Vietnam.

The China-Vietnam border is rich in tourism resources, and cross-border tourism cooperation between the two countries has blossomed in recent years. The land border between Guangxi and Vietnam is 1,020 kilometers long. In recent years, Guangxi has been actively accelerating the construction of cross-border tourism cooperation projects with Caoping, Lang Son, Quang Ninh and other places in Vietnam. At present, it has formed a China-Vietnam cross-border tourism cooperation zone, a border tourism experimental zone, and a border customs tourism belt that promote each other. development pattern. In addition, China and Vietnam are also working together to promote international red tourism cooperation and development projects. Longzhou County in Guangxi has accelerated the construction of the "China-Vietnam Red Tourism International Creation Zone" and plans to jointly develop the "Ho Chi Minh Footsteps Tour" special tourist route with Vietnam to build an iconic red tourism cultural park that embodies the friendship between China and Vietnam.
