The Southern Great Wall is located in Fenghuang County, Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province. It is the abbreviation of the Southern Great Wall of China, also known as the Miaojiang Great Wall. It is a military defense project in ancient China. The Southern Great Wall is 190 kilometers long, starting from Xiqueying in Guzhang County in western Hunan in the north to Tingziguan in Tongren, Guizhou in the south. It is mostly built on steep ridges.
